I sat next to a girl on a flight from Seattle to Ohio just after the election. We got to talking, and it turned out that we had both voted for McCain. She was pretty disappointed. So was I, but I always find the bright side to things. I told her that we were in the best position, because one to two good things would happen: One, Obama would do well, fix the country, and everyone would be happy. Or, Two, we would be right.

Whoa there, quick draw, don't jump the gun. Things haven't ACTUALLY gotten better. All we've seen, so far, is a nice cycle: big spending, then head scratching... then more spending, then more scratching. Obama has plenty of time to bring us results, but at the end of his term, we had better see a stable economy and an unquadrupled deficit, not just gold stars for the best smile.

This is so one sided. Who cares, that's what politicians do. It's what they enact and people believe in that really matters. His ideas, speaking, and non Bush connections are what got him elected. Please, please abolish NAFTA, Please socialize Healthcare (like Schools, police, city work, medicare, and benificial things of socialacion) then let the people decide if it's good or bad. We are already a socialist nation, but we still have the rights to do what we want with it.

Um, he has a point. Ignorant maybe on some points but come on people. We have to look upon our best interests as Americans. The wars we have are uneeded if we could better protect our selves, at much less cost I might add. The ways we outsource our Manufacturing base to other places for cheap for the profit of the few(against NAFTA) are good. Man, people are ignorant. He has good ideas and I hope he can propagate them.

We can see how he got elected -- people listened only to statements with which they agreed. The rest flew by and were disregarded. It's going to be a very interesting four years. In some ways I can hardly wait for the comedy and drama to begin. Let's see how the Healing Crystal with Big Ears does in the White House.

There wasn't even a surge in black voters this year.
Over 50% of Obama's voters were white, compared to 36% with John Kerry in 2004.
