Heading into WM 17, in my view, Trips and Austin were basically two sides of the same asshole. When Triple H destroyed 'Taker's bike it reminded me of something destructive that Stone Cold would do. It made sense to me, and HHH and Austin worked very well together as Allies. And I recall part of the build UP for the 3 stages of Hell match as the climax to the Austin/HHH Feud. I had seen HHH/Austin/Rock battle each other so many times in a 2-3 year period, I was done with ALL of those feuds.

I like heels, for obvious reasons, but Christian gets the heel "weakness" worse than others, at times. I hate that he's really turned into a Starscream-esque, weak, simpering fool, instead of the "crafty veteran" that he was known as, until Orton came in. @iBischoff Back when Bruno Sammartino and Verne Gagne were constantly World Champion, there were no pay-per-views and wrestling wasn't on prime time TV every week. The TV shows then were basically used to whet people's appetities to come to the live shows, and the champion rarely appeared on TV, so people had to pay to see him.

Nowadays, with wrestling on prime time TV twice a week, plus a PPV every month, people would get sick of it if the same guy was champion for years at a stretch.
