@MrEntwhistle Your fuckin' kidding me right? In my opinion unmasked KISS was much much better than with make-up's. (Of course the 70's KISS was also great) Watch one of their unmasked concert vid. They were much better live band without make up's. There were nothing magic tricks or whatever but the songs were good and the show was awesome.

@usarrr What's so ironic is that in this video, they shoot each other and both die. And that is how the song went when Ace Frehley covered it. Ace did a pretty good job with covering it and it would have been even better had someone else sang it. lol

@kmel5150 Well they both shoot, but there's only one bodybag+ambulance, so I don't think both of them die. I don't like Ace's cover, not because of the music and playing quality, but because Ace supposedly left KISS because they went into the 80s glam fashion and all this and he was plain rock n' roll, but then he turned glam too, and he was not skilled and trained enough to compare to glam guitarists. That's not the only reason he left, but he verbally attacked KISS many times for being glam

@usarrr I know about all the bad blood between Ace Frehley and Paul Stanley/Gene Simmons when he left and he did attack the trend they went. To tell the truth, I think this was the first good album in the post makeup era. But Ace didn't leave Kiss, he was fired because of his drinking, as Peter Criss was let go because of his drug use.

I don't have a favourite version of the band I love and have seen them all with the exception of St. John who was officially replaced the fourth time I saw KISS. It was in Detroit on Dec. 8, 1984. I do however think that they are more cohesive now then they have ever been before.
