I have not heard this great Blue Steele recording before. It is wonderful. I like all the Blue Steele recordings I am familiar with, and my favourite one is "All Muggled Up".
Do you have this one ?
Thank you for sharing this fine presentation. It is much appreciated.
Hi Lou - thanks for sharing this warm and pleasant tune - the instrumental solos - top notch - the vocal by George Marks - also very pleasant! Keep checking my editorials - which are an easy click on my channel. The next one - real dynamite - in a couple of days!
@tango3721 ,Yes Tango,I had to remove a video from Youtube that Sony Corp objected to.I t was "Confessin' That I Love You" by Phil Spitalney Orch made in 1932 a video that had been on YT for a year.
Lou, I sent you a correction. Betty Jean is Blues daughter (the baby in the photo of Blue, Helen (his wife) and Betty jean). Blue wrote the song "Betty Jean" for his daughter when she was about 2 years old. Blues first wife was Helen Broadhurst. Betty Jean is my mother. She just passed away this month at 84 years old.
I`m very lucky to have this MARVELOUS record!!! How AWESOME to see such wonderful photos of Him and his family. My favorit photo of him is the last one. I LOVE his orchestra, How neet it is that You got these wonderful photos from his grandson Eric. Thank You so much for sharing this with me. I LOVE IT!!!
@Bigband78 Lou, I hope Eric Patterson & Family see this message! I would LOVE to tannk them to. They must be very proud of there familys history, as I am. I have several AWESOME Blue Steel Orch. records, And treasure each one of them with my life. And I still Thank You for posting.
@Bigband78 I would. It's harder to get, I'd just wait on M.T.S.A.Y It pops up often enough. No if I knew I'd never find M.T.S.A.Y. that's a different story.
Then I can understand trading Midnight but if it is just because there are less of this, I am SHOCKED. Sorry....this is OK BUT NO WAY does it compare to Midnight... I guess that is how a collector thinks.
People buy ART just to have it even though they don't care for the painting itself.
Never could understand that, it must be a financial thing. :-)
I would never trade Midnight or any of MY Elmers or Rudys if I had any. :-)
@genia106 ,According to the grandson,Betty Jean(Eric's mother)who just passed away was Blue Steele's daughter. He also sent me a Photo of Blue Steele around 50 years old that I will use on a later video.
@genia106 No I don't like it better However this is a much more difficult record to get. Midnight shows up all the time on auction lists so I would just win it again. In the meantime it must be available on at least 50 CD';s so I would have no problem listening to it whenever I wanted. Fred
You are right Lou, it is a great slow fox, performed with great style! Thanks for sharing!

Also, the reason I mention Helyn Cornille, my sister, is because she has her name and @ (copyright) on the bottom corner of some of the photos.

You can hear the band evolve towards a Swing Era sound in this recording. Very suave.
