There was one just outside my door. They're usually afraid of humans but this one didn't do anything he just stood there and looked at me lol.

We don't have these in the States (mournful pause). I'm wondering though, are they looked upon favorably in Europe as creatures you would be happy to stumble upon or have in your garden or are they seen as vermin, like moles?

@littlered1216 Sorry for kind of a late response.
People do not see them as vermin and are often friendly to them. It's an habit to leave food for them outside.
It's always a good thing to see one of these creatures in your garden.
