This was always my preferred Stone Cold theme... this is also when he used to flip off the fans and stuff, that to me was the best version of the character.
A lot of Jim Johnston's songs in the mid and late 90s had these samey erratic percussive beats. Listen to the drums in this and then listen to the Undertaker's theme from WWF: The Music Vol. 3 (the original version of the song that would become the Ministry theme) or The Rock's original "Destiny" theme as Rocky Maivia.
@josephdawg Cena better than Austin na mate Stone Cold is the Toughest S.O.B. in the WWE he would open up a can woop ass on him and Stone Cold was winning titles when John was dippers mate and trust me Stone Cold Steve Austin was just class and the Attitude Era is far better than the PG Era because the superstars could be more volient then and The Rock will show cena how its done
@MrJDW123 LOL sorry dude, when it comes to Stone Cold vs. Cena, I already see that smile on Stone Colds face when he mocks Cena's "You can't see me" and goes to get the fuckin beer truck!
This song was made from Razor Ramon's theme believe it or not...that song was so beast mode they didnt want it to go to waste so they made a remix and thus Stone Cold's theme was born! :D OH HELL YEAH!!!!
@twanceps Technically this is his first theme. The other theme before this one was actually Steve's previous persona "The Ringmaster", accompanied by no other than Ted DiBiase AKA The Million Dollar Man.
@StraightEdgeStunner It just seems like they couldn't find a theme for the Stone Cold persona so they had to use the Ringmaster theme. Technically speaking it's not the first theme for SCSA.
The best phase of Austin's career from King of the Ring 1996 until about late 1997 when he was just stunning everybody, King, Jr, Slaughter, Mcmahon, referees, Santa Clause.
Then he sort of mellowed out around the time he won the world title in 1998.
@DbzWWE2010 3.16 was an insult to jake "the Snake" roberts after he defeated Roberts in the 1996 king of the ring tournament. Stone Cold mocked him, saying "You read your proverbs and your bible verses, like john 3:16, But Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your ass!" and everyone went nuts.
@DrPhilMusic Actually, I think the correct phrase was: "You stand there and read your bible and it didn't get you anywhere! Talk about your psalms, talk about John 3:16...Austin 3:16 says I just whooped your ass!"
This was nice! I was so mad, but so excited as well when I heard this full theme in stereo. It was around August or September 2002. Every themer knows that feeling when they finally hear the full clear version of a theme they've been hoping to get for a long time. And they're just like "WHOA!!!"
What I like about his 1st theme is that it just has that original bad-ass theme to it. It's like I hear this and the first thing I envision is a bar fight and the guys are like "oh fuck that's the theme song of that bald-headed son a bitch who's gonna open up a can of whoop ass on us!"
@abh41187 I totally agree. I remember when I bought Volume 2 and was disappointed with how they gave us a modified version of this theme with him talking. I just wanted the song in its real form, like the way it is here
@BrandonTheBeast83 you are absolutely right bro. i wish they could have released this theme instead of "i won't do what you tell me" on the legends of wwe cd (vol.9 bonus).

@jb0609 yes i think so too his other theme he uses its got less bass in it plus i do prefer austin from 97 to 2001 then after that he just wasn't the same with his attitude hence why the attitude era was over :-(

In the WWF yes because he saved the WWF from going out of business and basically was the face of a whole new era but overall id still give it to Hogan mainly because everyone and there mother knows who Hogan is. Without Hogan wrestling wouldn't have had the culture and marks it has today.
I wonder what if Austin's injuries didn't force him 2 retire what in the hell else could he have done.He was a wildfire running and who try 2 put his fire out.The talent today couldn't do anything put watch still run the WWE!
This is his best ever theme, but it's his third theme though.
The first didn't have the glass shattering at all. The second one was very similar to this but had the police siren even at the beginning, in this one you only hear the siren half way around 1:03

Sometimes I wonder Steve would've looked more of a bad a&& with full beard and a long-haired ponytail... Yeah go ahead rate this comment poor and all but that's what I feel...
And that's coz the proverbial anti-society BMF that he portrayed in his WWE days, I feel he never looked quite the bad guy totally... I mean we all know the guy's got a good heart and that showed on his face. Dunno whether they have long hair and full beards down there in Texas but yeah that's what I feel...

This is his best ever theme, but it's his third theme though.
The first didn't have the glass shattering at all. The second one was very similar to this but had the police siren even at the beginning, in this one you only hear the siren half way around 1:03

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Sometimes I wonder Steve would've looked more of a bad a&& with full beard and a long-haired ponytail...
