  • @DawgFL me too.

  • Wow, this really works! Thanks!

  • This is the best lesson you've given, and you're lessons are really good. "Oh, I can't embarrass him and not hit the chords right." So funny and so true.

  • Apollo 440 - Stop the rock ??

"Stop the rock, can't stop the rock

You can't stop the rock, stop the rock"

  • I use this technique.

  • 4 People cannot read, dislike actually means you do not like this video, which is in fact impossible :D

  • Great lesson... Great teacher... Easy to understand and easy on the eyes, what more do you want....

  • thanks for the advice...i now understand that i need to go on regardless of a misstiming of a chord

  • Awesome

  • 1:54 is how Justin really plays, he just speeds it up on his videos

  • Great

  • Awesome advice. i never watched this video when i was doing ur beginners section (i took what i learned from you and set out on my own for a while, but now im back for ur intermediate section) but just watched it today and realized that id been doing that myself for months and realised i got the idea from watching your 1 minute chord changes video (which is by far the most simple but most effective technique ive been taught) thanx for library of lessons. theyre great.

  • how do you do that its sooo hard lol

  • @PinkNeonHearts Go slower through the lessons, and actually practice your 1 minute chord changes. It'll be EASY

  • Don't stop the music - Rihanna? Was he looking for that :) ( Ok not chiller paper whatever ^^)

Anyway thx for that good lesson, i actually kinda waited for this sort of lesson as i was going through the cours

    peace

  • you are awesome.

  • This was pretty fun. Loved to jam with those D-A-E-A chords :) Thanks :)

  • awsomee

  • thank you very much !

  • btw i think the reason why it works is, because if you only learn when you HIT and PUSH your boundaries. I think thats the secret to learning most stuff.

  • haha you can imitate the beginner very well mate lol

  • Justin, This is amazing! I have been having a lot of trouble changing chords. It worked just like you said it would. My fretting hand was freaking out trying to "catch up" with the strumming! Thanks again for another fantastic lesson!

  • the same thing happened with me....this lesson worked amazing! I can now switch from any chord fluently

  • justin you are amazing.. thanks for encouraging us... thanks a lot

  • Everyone who is learning will relate so much to this video.. thanks Justin!!

  • you cant stop rock and roll. twisted sister of course!!!!!

  • never thought bout usin the metronome to help the beat, like keeping your strumming hand going. thx a bunch. and your right, it does help make them faster.

  • You are a prince!

  • Were you perhaps thinking of KC and the Sunshine Band - Keep It Comin' Love. You know the one where they keep saying, "Don't stop it now?"

  • As would Freddy Mercury say... Strum must go on !

  • just started to watch his video for a week or two, already see some progress

hopefully i won't be a 'hopeless guitar player'

    Thanks mate

  • I think every beginner out there should watch this video

  • POINT MADE~

When you did the pause with the chord progressions, I lauged out loud and said "ok, point made"

  • lol "Can't Stop"

  • That made me laugh out loud! G to C to D with the pauses! Excellent stuff.

How come this wasn't in the first lessons when you should us all how to play the D, A and E chords?

    Keep up the excellent work

  • showed not should

  • i love you man, i've been learning from you for the past month and it's even better than when i used to have a private teacher

  • Incredible. You rock. Thanks.

  • This has made my chord changes a lot smoother, however there is still a slight delay between perfect changes between like C and G, but I've improved a lot through forcing my fretting hand (I play left handed guitar).

    Thanks Justin! :)

  • GO BABY GO BABY GO DON'T UPSET THE RYTHM NO .

haha that's a song by the Noisettes. great song btw haha.

Thanks for the video! I've had problems with this but I figured this out myself but it's good to have a nice review :)

  • you're a great guy , man

    thumbs uppppppp

  • Dont upset the Rythemmm

  • Thanks for the excellent tips!!!

  • yesterday i need 3 strokes for an C to G change. today it only 1! your videos are really great!

  • Very good. I'm way beyhond this stage (at least for simple chords...lol),but I like to watch others teach beginners because in this way, I can teach myself.

    Metronome....metronome...very important tool!

A wrong chord ON time is always better than the right chord off-time. The right note at the wrong time is...the wrong note.

This works even with complex chords. Same principles.

  • possibly cant stop the music by village people!

  • i was doing this earlier with my jazz chord changes and it helps.

  • I'm starting to learn how to play a song, and this technique is really helpful :D

  • Don't Stop Me Now by Queen.

  • lmao. justins right....i watched my friend struggle with this for so long and every time he stopped he would only sound worse lol listen to justin

  • CAN'T STOP by RHCP xD

  • thanks so much. I have been following your lessons and was having a problem with the speed of my changes. This will really help

  • great lesson yet again i just want to thank you very much for all of this great refresher!

    great stuff justin love this!

  • muscle memory, its all muscle memory, the cerebellum, is awesome. its what makes it possible!

  • Go baby go baby go, don't upset the rhythm~!~!

  • His website is awesome, it's how I started learning guitar.

  • This really does work, i have only been playing 10 months and i did this exact drill myself every night while watching a movie and strumming quietly with my thumb, it soon all falls into place, DO IT!!!

  • I was lucky to found this out by myself when I started learning guitar and you're right, this is really, really important.
