Is thanks to that lens you get that sharp image? i just cant get it with my T2i... once i watch mi video in 1080 the image is some blurry, how can i solve it? with a better lens like yours?
Awesome, 2 questions the Nikkor 80-200mm f 4 AIS, do you have any other vids that you used the lens on? My t2i has no lens currently. I was set to buy the 50mm f1.4, then I saw this vid! Lastly, which is better for a film look? In your opinion.
@MrNevermore82 Our newest "Facebook Coach" video used the 80-200 Nikkor only. I really like this lens, I'm actually uploading a second "Location Scout" video this very moment, which features the lens.
@Dod3032 hey i'm a french boy and i like our work please i have a question what is the reference exact for the adaptator for the nikkor 80 200 4 ais i have a 550d
I'm very happy that you posted one with some wilderness footage, that's what I'd like to get into. You did an amazing job, thanks for all which you're doing for the DSLR crowd!
can you please answer me about which one is better or which I should buy out of the sigma apo 50-150mm f2.8 and the nikkor 80-200? I'm not in a position to buy a lot of different lenses just yet.
@Neumannfilms In one of the scenes I can clearly see the three of you and the camera does a panning shot and it doesn't look like a cropped pan in post. Unless you have some remote for that, I suspected a fourth person manning the camera.
Lush, wonderful and just great! Dante Spinotti and Tak Fujimoto made great visuals in the 90s and that Nikkor does the job, for sure. I used to have it on my GH1, but sold it and got some Canon FDs instead to go with my GH2.
I just wish we had some cinestyle stuff for the Panny.
Once again, great! So when will you do your first feature?
Can you elaborate on why you believe the Nikkor zoom provides a better film look than Canon's 55-250mm? The telephoto shots don't appear to be especially sharp (at least on on Youtube @ 1080p). Can you maybe do a comparison vid? That would be really helpful!
@killr0y Well, film isn't SUPER sharp, when I say film I mean getting away from the "digital look". Bokeh, color representation, sharpness...you need the right combo of all three. Combined with Cinestyle (which naturally makes footage softer, but gives more Dynamic Range) the similarities to film stacking up. The 55-250's colors are really really bad. It's super soft as well, this lens is soft but just sharp enough in the right areas.
@Dod3032 I have a shopping list of lenses and in the long lenses section I had planned on getting the sigma apo 50-150mm f2.8. how does that one hold up against the nikkor 80-200? is this one better?
You guys are amazing filmmakers. I'm been saving alot of money to get Canon t2i but i really wanna' get Canon 5D Mark II But it's really out of my budget. But Canon t2i is the first camera. I got all the lens. It's just the canon t2i body i need to buy! CAnon is the bomb! :)
@Dod3032 It must been really cold when you guys shot those footage in the Snow! It looks beautiful. Put batman in the snow! lol :) i support you three! 3 Tremors!!
Wow, that's indeed a very good lens! Have you ever tried some very old lenses? I now possess some 40 year old Pentacon lenses, which used to be my granddad's. I wonder what you could do with that, especially looking at your workflow etcetera.
Very good cinematography Luke and company. Props on the music track as well.... That Nick Cave,Warren Ellis track really fit those scenes perfectly. Congratulations Guys!
So, you sold or stopped using the T2i? Moving on up are we? :)
Have you given up on tutorials? I really could use on on balancing a Glidecam HD series steadicam. i know there are other tutorials out there but I know you would do it better. Anyway, great work as always. Thanks for sharing.
Love the quality! Is the cheaper fotodiox adapter just as good?

Dude this looks exacly like the new movie coming out "The Grey". Did you made a pact with the devil or what?
It looks pretty similar to a 120,000 Dlls Panavision Camera.
I envy you in a positive way.
