2. i personally love Neurosis. i bought "through silver in blood" about a month ago, and with brutal, nonstop listening, i finlly understood it. FINALLY... it took a lot of energy and the process of throwing out what i thought was "acceptable" in music. So for all of the veteran neurosis fans, i'm buying another album by them, and i'm looking for their "soft" stuff. Times of Grace, Given To to the Rising, Sun That Never Sets... idk?

Then my first taste of them is them playing some scene hardcore screamo stuff at ozzfest... I mean I read they take a lot of inspiration from Phillip K. Dick and other great Sci Fi authors, they seem like a talented band, but yeah just uh doesn't do it for me. I'll stick with other avant garde bands.

I found there are two paths, the path of light and the path of dark, and now and evermore, I walk the light, the way of peace. But, a few years ago I was on that dark path, and I used to use this to help induce a trance. Dont suggest going that path at all though. Secret chiefs?

Who said music shouldn't be like that? I think that's the appeal of alternative types of music, you get to experience something that you CAN'T predict. And it makes it even more special when a band like Neurosis (aside from being very talented musicians), have an idea behind their music and execute it quite well.
