All you do called animal lovers, say the tree types. Get a life, they are animals. Quit putting them above other animals. All you bonobo advice nuts, keep it to yourself.
Very worrying esp after seeing info about Nim the chimpanzee. Also how cruel is it to take this baby from his mother. Also bonobo tend to explore things by trying to have sex with them so i just think this whole program is just an excuse for these researches to once again mess with nature
@angiekuk Actually, he is raised by the whole community (the bonobos and the humans) He is treated like a bonobo. They are also raising awarness of the endangered species. I find this to be a great program. (and trust me I'm against great apes being exploited for entertainment) but these people are helping not hurting :)
@angiekuk Bonobos raise their offspring collectively, virtually all members of the community will raise everybody's children. Dr. Rumbaugh is considered, by all practical means, a member of the bonobo community by the bonobos themselves, therefore not taking care of Teco would be "messing with nature". By abiding by bonobo "rules", they keep the order of nature. Watch other videos, you'll see the bonobos grooming the doctor; what happens in a bonobo community. They groom each other
