  • al gore is a cunt with ears

  • al gore would say anything do anything to further his a gender of making billions out of scaring you bunch gullible dick head cock suckers go on be frightened little rabbits believe this bullshit and make sure you bring your money with you because al is promoting inefficient , expensive bullshit that wont work

  • Gore doesn't understand what he's saying. lol

William Kininmonth knows what he's saying.

William Kininmonth: Meteorologist, former delegate to World Meteorological Organization Commission for Climatology.

So do 30,000 other REAL scientists who say that there are so many variables to the earths weather, that nobody can tell what's going to happen NEXT MONTH, let alone 50 years from now.

Gore's company will make money using global warming scam.

ClimateGate- Gore Profits On Global Warming.

  • Personally, I think that regardless of whether humans are creating this or not, whether it's a natural thing in Earth or not, if we want to survive, we're going to have to do something.

  • Solution= Fusion, muon catalyzed fusion Search star star scientific limited

    Green. Clean. Efficient. Affordable. Safe.

Star scientific seeks no investors and is not hokey.

  • @2110kop

    looks great!

  • Humans are disgusting.

  • I find Al Gore's level of lying profound.

  • Fat Al Gore, producer of a bigger "carbon footprint" for what that's worth, is close to or at the billionaire status by purveying these lies over the past decade or so. Do you want this obese sex poodle to be your thought leader? Stay a Democrat!

  • Al Gore is as much as a scientist as George Bush is a capable president.

Why is he not talking about the drop in our water supply because companies like Neilson and others stealing it and selling it back to us in bottles.

  • Al gore is the farce of the century. Travels all over the world in a privat jet(talking about global warming) and asking far too much money for each of his hypocrite speeches, Is it 100.000 dollar or is it more ? Jus tdon't listen to these kind of overrich borred people with a "good cause- hobby 'Tthere is a word for it ,Narcism.

  • "Everyone has the perspective all wrong. Has anyone become familiar with Stephen Hawkins depiction of an advanced alien species? We should all be thinking how we can exhaust the energy potential of our own sun. And then other stars next! YEAH!" less

  • @dinogrower I posted my comment and the text did not show up despite my visiting this page over an eight hour period and searching for my comment. I did see my comment on my recent activity log so I copied the comment and attempted to post it again. Now both comments show up and I am concerned it can appear as spam. Usually there is an option to remove a comment yet this is not an option given to me in the icon sidebar. I consider this most unfair.

  • Everyone has the perspective all wrong. Has anyone become familiar with Stephen Hawkins depiction of an advanced alien species? We should all be thinking how we can exhaust the energy potential of our own sun. And then other stars next! YEAH!

  • Why the hell is it just Foreign Oil that's dirty? O_o

  • Al Gore has been scientifically identified as a eco-hypocrite. He lives in a luxury Mansion which consumes 20 times the amount of energy than an normal apartment. Yet he wants you to change your lifestyle and fell guilty about the melting icecap.

  • listen to what he is saying instead of acting like a douchbag

  • AL WHORE

  • Shut the fuck up about global

  • more than one kid you should

  • So we have to start writing in some new language now you fuckers......

  • Are so there is software looking at this.. how democratic

  • he fck up about the global warming crap. If you are serious Al Gore you would K ree of your Kids and drop your footprint to one

  • is it al gore..?

  • what word kills my comment

  • fuck iyt all

  • these comments are cesored

  • censor

  • nice nice polar

  • That's some GE propagnda that fools noone but....ummm...stupid .fools.

  • What about ManBearPig ?

    That's a super cereal crisis!

  • Notice the new ice ratio is increasing dramatically.

  • What heats the earth up and what cools it. Here's a thought maybe oxygen reacts to heat more than denser gases, maybe oxygen comes from trees, maybe carbon soaks heat up causing acceleration while the oxygen is high and cooling after the high oxygen production of life declines. In other words the truth is complex involves reality and simulations stimulated by politics doesn't change the true outcome. What is real is that nature conservation is nice and healthy. so tell me am I deluded.

  • Jesus Fucking Christ. Scientists define 'ice age' as a period of time when there are ice caps. All that's happening is the passing of a perfectly natural cycle. Yes our earth is heating up. No, humans didn't put an end to a 4 billion year old cycle with some plastic bags.

  • You Sir, are a sad deluded little man. You have my pity.

    Your argument is as follows:

    -Swearing

    -Irrelevant statement about semantics.

-Assertions that have no basis in anything aside from your personal delusions. As opposed to actual evidence.

Nice going. Perhaps you'll follow it up with something equally stupid?

  • The same people who say that global warming isn't being caused by humans are the same people who say:

Iraq had WMDs in March of 2003

    Creationism is valid

Obama is a Muslim and a socialist

Sarah Palin is qualified to be the VP

    THESE PEOPLE HAVE NO CREDIBILITY

  • I liked your comment but voted wrong by mistake... oops, Yet it's conceivable that the pattern of global warming has to do with the Sun's heating up as well. Climate change seems to be happening on the other planets as well. Cheers...

  • That sir, is a complete lie.

  • Why do you say that?

  • I'm a person who is skeptical to AGW but believe in none of the other assertions gqsmoothie made, nor do any others I know. In other words it was purely a vulgar attempt to rubbish people who have examined both sides and come out as skeptics. It was also a lie.

  • To me this whole "Climate Crisis" debate is a lot like Evolution v.s Creationism debate. 99% of all scientists believe it is true, but there are still few that doesn't want to believe it.

  • No, actually I have read about both sides. Just like how I've read about both sides of the 9/11 conspiracy theory--but doesn't mean I have to buy it. I'm just not prone to believing conspiracy theories as you are. Thanks for sharing.

  • @RationalPeace

99% what part of your asshole did you pick that number out of?

  • @gqsmoothie

Funny that Lord Christopher Monckton has publically challenged Al Gore your God to a public debate in which Al Gore has avoided. Even nature is doing everything opposite to what the global warmist have predicted so I would say people like you and Al Gore have no creditability.

  • @Fattboy26

you're a disingenious loser, in general climate models and predictions have shown to agree well with observations. FYI, 2010 was the warmest year since records began.

  • @kekemankek

Oh the usual run of the mill insults from people who therory has proven to be a load of dog shit. Sorry when you are caught lying and proven wrong then people except dimwits like yourself tend to be skeptical. I think the only disingenious losers here are you and you ilk.

  • @gqsmoothie There's no global warming

  • @RoyStewart

    science disagrees mate

  • @kekemankek incorrect

  • @RoyStewart

    Roy argues with thermometers

  • @BeondaPale No he doesn't

  • @gqsmoothie The same people who say global warming is REAL, are the same people who believe life began from nothing.

Evolution is real, no proof, but it's still real.

Obama's a good president and never lies.

Or say, "I seen the video where Biden says that Obama isn't qualified to be president. But I still don't believe it."

These 2 say Gore is lying.

    William Happer-Princeton

William Kininmonth Meteorologist, former delegate to World Meteorological Organization Commission for Climatology

  • @gqsmoothie go fuck yourself

  • For some really great denial, check out Larry king's interview with Bill Nye and Richard Lindzen....Amazing posts....at least, amazing for the obvious pay offs that Big Oil can create....to get the denial into high gear....Like Big Tobacco in the 70's.

  • @ospreylookout That's a myth, big oil are major bilderburgers and support global warming carbon tax, you've been sold a mickey

  • The depth of ignorance on this issue continues to astound me, people continue to spew recycled and debunked rhetoric denying a very serious problem facing our world. I implore you to check the validity of your sources of information, you can usually tie a denialist scientist directly to big oil. Read the actual peer reviewed literature. The world is warming independently of solar cycling, if it wasn't what argument could be made for anthropogenic climate change, none! Think about it, please!

  • @MattandtheGmeister Incorrect

  • he lives ina huge house but do you know if he powers and heats that home with coal energy? He could very well be using wind or solar power.

  • @rubick79 And his privat jet he is flying in, all over the world is also on solar power. Right.........sure!

  • It's hard to believe global warming is starting where I live it's summer and it's cool. Last year It was around 100 degrees. I still do believe that it is happening though.

  • blahblahblah

  • did everyone know that he lives in a 50 bedroom

mansion that uses more lectricity than most

    sports arenas ????????????

  • YOu cant tell these brainwashed idiots anything, they think they can save the planet. The audacity of them is unbelievable.

  • I take it you know this for a fact, or are you just regurgitating something Billy O'Reilly spewed?

  • as a fact mofucka

  • Thank you, clueless, gullible idiot

  • Glad to know you're able to express your opinion maturely.

  • Thank You. I am gifted like that

  • Shit happens, nothing lasts forever, humans fuck up. I choose to believe Gore.

  • This comment board is a neurotoxin.

  • Cant beleive the ignorance of some people,i would almost think you people were republicans, hes trying to raise awareness of an issue that saves us from destroying that which nurtures us and these people call him names?,you people deserve nothing good from life.

  • Fat Al Gore's (F.A.G.)'s whole aim for the past ten years has been to push his environmental scam and make himself and his buddies rich beyond their wildest dreams. This ponderous piece of patronizing poop is a waste of space. I still have hope that enough Americans can use what little brainpower they have left to ignore American Idol and what useless celebrity died lately and pay attention to what their children and grandchildren are going to be enslaved by here.

  • @greengringo2003 Correct

  • don't believe the hype, is all I'm saying...

  • I don't think they are stupid. I think globalists have an agenda. There are plenty of scientists that disagree with global warming, but since the big wigs want these new taxes, they conveniently ignore and ridicule those guys.

It's the sun people, the sun gets hotter, the sun cools down. it has cycles.

Icecaps on Mars were melting, how did your SUV do that? It didn't, the sun got hotter.

  • Warming is independent of the sun, this much is without doubt if you actually look at the data. If you want a no nonsense rebuttal to all denialist claims look up Greenmans channel on Youtube

  • All taxes do is make bankers rich. How does this save anything?

    It doesn't.

What it does do is put controls on free people and get big brother into every facet of you life.

They are not going to reduce income taxes. In fact, there will be a whole new world tax structure built on this global warming bunk. Why do you think all these big banker types push this garbage?

  • penutwi:

congratulations on finding an article at NASA!

It's a shame you didn't actually read past the title.

Here is a post that explains the event in simple and easy to understand terms:

    watch?v=YhHoCb6OBiI

    watch and, hopefully, learn

  • Hey guys, we should listen to this guy. After all, you can totally trust the guy that "invented" the internet...

    WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!1

  • holy crap though, those are some great commercials!!!

  • FROSTY THE COALMAN, ............ lmfao... SO ridiculous

  • I love how environmentalists worship Al Gore, when his home uses as much power as you do in a year in a month. He's a hypocrit. And global warming may be real, but MAN-MADE global warming IS bullshit.

  • Did you know that Thomas Jefferson kept slaves? Clearly he was a hypocrite therefore he was wrong about abolitionism. Do you now see how sad this argument is? But I don't listen to politicians on the matters of science; I'd rather listen to scientists and regardless of whether Gore is an asshole or a saint GW is real, we're doing it, consequences are dire, and we better do something about it.

  • if it's real then why did Oklahoma wheat farmers lose millions of dollars because they couldn't plant when they normally do because it was to cold.?

  • Case closed, you got me. That's the proper scientific way of establishing whether there's a global warming; you open your window and if it's cold outside GW is false, if it's hot, GW is true.

But seriously can you point me to the source of this information? I'm not being polemic, I'm really curious.

  • it was just a news item a few months ago, my point was for all of the stuff that is made of global warming, their is plenty of cases that suggest that's not as cut and dry as Gore makes it out to be.

  • Local weather fluctuations can completely dwarf the global warming trend.

There are better and worse arguments against GW. This one is terrible.

  • Sorry professor, I didn't realize I was dealing with an elitist asshole.

  • @Jacnas You'll NEVER convince anthropogenic climate change (ACC) or global warming (AGW) deniers with sound powerfully logical arguments like that.

You've got to get down and dirty: name-call. Silence them at every opportunity (ban them from your channel).

Scientists are too nice. And then they wonder why gov'ts are not doing more to fight ACC.

  • Your a fool. It's a proven fact that C02 and other greenhouse gases have a direct effect on the global temperature of the earth. There is nothing bullshit about facts.

  • I am one of 'everybodies' and I don't know that this is bullshit. Show your evidence. If climate scientists say that climate change, supported by real science not opinions, is a real threat then it is a threat. Your wishing that it wasn't true is pointless.

  • i was doing some searching lately and found a nasa article about a ice cap on mars that melted in 2003 (i belive) did we cause that melting too? lol

  • Are we talking about increased solar irradiance? This could very well be an issue. These two ideas are not mutually exclusive.

If we are starting a period of increased solar irradiance, wouldn't it be wise to stop producing gases which are shown to increase thermal retention in preparation? Just as one would take a blanket off the bed as the season turns rather than doggedly going to bed knowing full well that you will be too hot and wont get any sleep.

  • Yes that's true but he's a gov and wants carbon tax. The gov want to tax the shit out of us.

This global warming is just a part of the natural process. Ice age is coming withen 100 years or so. We're almost at the highest peak of heat temps and co2, that will change. Human only produce less then 1% of co2 while volcanos produce millions of co2. I call this bullshit.

So fuck the govs and their taxes.

  • Everyone needs to actually research this for themselves... everyone is brainwashed. I HOPE the earth heats up. Our global temperature is near the lowest it has ever been in millions of years, our CO2 levels are the lowest they have ever been. If you don't believe me, dont repeat the garbage that Gore talks about, research it yourself.

  • Your proof? References perhaps? ...or is this just your cherished opinion?

  • You are correct that some models show that levels now are much lower than 100 to 500 million years ago. It's not relevant as humans have only been in existence for 3 million years. So you need to analyze the period of time when we have been an effective species. Studies in this shorter period show cycles of about 100,000 years where CO2 goes up and down. However the more immediate time period last 200years shows us going well above these normal fluctuations. This is a concern for human survival

  • I don't want my future children, and next generation to wear respirators with oxygen tanks, and gas masks. While inhaling aspirins every 20 minutes just to be outside their house. Do you? Then I suggest you to allow the industrial changes to take place, and find renewal and safer energy sources. I also don't want to see my beautiful rare beaches to look murky brown like shit. You might, but majority of us don't.

  • We'd need to budget 1 trillion dollars to make all of our coal power plants clean. Basically, clean coal would make alternatives competitive, which would eliminate the advantage coal has. This means coal power would go out of business. That's why, like the cigarette companies that sell the most addictive drug in the world, this is why they've fought so long and hard to deny the reality. If people knew the truth about cigarettes, then the companies would lose their advantage.

  • As others have said b4, the environment has become our new credit card. Like foreign companies that overfish and pollute waterways, companies that follow the rules and respect the environment are penalized because they can't compete with those who break the rules. Breaking nature's rules cannot go on indeffinately. There's a finite limit to these activities. Sooner or later the interest nature has collected will overwhelm our ability to effectively pay it, and henceforth, to survive here.

  • what we REALLY need to do is fund free-energy technology. it does exist. Tesla discovered it decades ago (JP Morgan funded the research, then bought the patents and shut it down... now the patents are owned by Rockefeller, along with the patents for everything else including most segments of the human genome). clean coal? my ass.

how about NO coal. no petroleum. no natural gas... technology is in the hands of the profiteers, sadly.

  • Well if the statement we are not changing it is wrong what would be the outcome ,so were do we see our selves in that ending. OOPS

  • I cannot take this seriously. Global warming seriously concerns me, but I can't stand the politicized bullshit. I don't see a connection between the clean coal propaganda and joe camel. I see a red herring, an appeal to emotion, to anti-smoking nazis. Global warming is important, but attempting to stop imminent disaster would be impossible if we don't first end our idiotic tribalism and dogmas.

  • At 19 seconds Gore says the Arctic Ice is less than it has been in 3 million years. This is essential to his argument for all the other information in his presentation, yet it is a lie.

Even grade school children are taught that in 1000 CE, when the Vikings sailed to N. America (Newfoundland, Canada), they also found Greenland. Scotland had the same climate as S.France does today, and had vineyards! The globe was MUCH warmer then, we had no global floods & we still have polar bears folks!!

  • 90% of Middle School Science Teachers have never completed a science course at an above-high school level.

Are you sure you want to take what you were taught for granted?

  • You are not taking into account smaller periods of warming and cooling. The climate is described as large period of cold or warm, containing smaller periods of warming or cooling within. It's not just all or nothing.

  • thadeusmac, the reason people believe Al Gore is because their science teachers are failed by those who ARE above-high school level. I have three degrees and have been following this nonsense (it is nonsense) since 1975 when I obtained my first science degree!

tycospg, don't be ridiculous, they are the noise on the pavement, not the highway itself (as Gore would have you believe. All anyone needs to do is search Google images for "geological temperature record" to see AGW is utter bullshit.

  • You got 3 degrees and you're that fucken stupid? I don't have any and I can tell that the past 5 years, there have been huge climate changes in weather. Extreme hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunamis, monsoons, and earthquakes.

  • You should listen to the guy with the education. "Extreme" weather as you call recent events can be found throughout history. We just have more effective news and documentation. Natural events of an extreme scale happened long before fossil fuels, or even people existed. Further, more and more scientists agree we are actually in a cooling phase.

  • temp/climate changes happen. they are also happening on the other close planets (to the sun) they are warming too. why?

our carbon emissons here on earth?

the information is suppressed in the media.

you don't have to be a college graduate to be indoctrinated into the 'stupidl' category. congrats.

    solar emissions are cyclical.

  • you're right it is nonsense. and it is a RELIGION. it doesn't matter is you provide sources for the data which shows ALL the planets warming at the same rate.... and try to educate. people WANT to believe we are creating 'global warming'... because it's 'uncool' to question it. somehow it puts you in the same category as the strip-miners, heavy polluters.... and never mind Al Gore/Occidental Oil connection... lol. total bullshit.

  • my god manbearpig is back, were all dead............

  • Al Gore was worth $2miliion dollars when he left White House. Now he is estimated to be worth $98million dollars with his snake oil/GW agenda. If carbon tax money theft is enacted, Gore will likely become the first GW billionaire. It is despicable on every level, while Earth has been cooling for the last decade as the sun activity has subsided.

  • You're full of shit, al gore. You want more money from us, fuck off!

  • well, whether you agree with him or not you must admit that the world as a living entity is changing constantly. making money is seemingly more important than our home that we call Earth. smacking the loving hand that feeds us if you ask me. global warming is a touchy subject and the information given seems to be interpreted differently by each one of us.

  • the earth ia living entity. shes dying, money is killing her.

  • a carbon tax turns an invisible gas into a trade able stock, and could become very lucrative, potentially even encourage certain companies to poor even more carbon into the environment. pictures of melting ice and drowning polar bears aren't going to change the fact that gore has a hidden agenda. i'm not saying we should ignore the signs of climate change, but any hint of a carbon tax being imposed needs to be investigated. money is never the solution to any problem. it is the problem.

  • The main problem is not fossil fuels but deforestation.

More CO2 in the air means plants grow faster sucking back in all the CO2 back from the air and this compensates for the CO2 we're putting out in the atmosphere.

But we're cutting down these forests preventing the trees from sucking back this surplus CO2 we're putting out, destroying earths first line of balance mechanism. This is what is destroying our planet. But no one speaks bout it! More money to make of fossil fuels than deforestation!

  • An environmentalist who does not promote nuclear energy is an environmentalist not worth listening to.

  • Exactly. I use this criterion to distinguish the "environmentalism as science" from the "enviromentalism as a religion" types.

  • No that is not true. Chernobyl killed 100s of thousands. With terrorists we cannot take that risk. We can have hydro electricity. Norway provides 98% of its electricity through just hydro electricity. It does not need nuclear. There is no need for nuclear energy,

  • Mismanagement under a communist regime is not sufficient reason for being a luddite. And Chernobyl did not kill 100s of thousands -- that is a gross exaggeration.

  • What offensive insane response. Does that mean you are a Luddite if you claim global warming is happening, as you want some fossil fuel industries reduced. Nuclear radiation kills. 100s of thousands have died but the nuclear industry is corrupt and covers this up. Over 2.4 million have suffered negative health affects. Communist radiation is the same as free market radiation, believe it or not.

Now answer me are you aware that Norway has 98% of it's electricity from hydro electricity?

  • Nuclear produce more then any powerplant combine, if can.

Nuclear fusion can power itself and generate millions of homes and busniess and it produce ZERO emissions.

I support it all the way.

  • wackdeafboy No nuclear produces emissions in the mining of uranium and in other areas of the industry. Plus nuclear plants only last for at most 40 years while hydro dams last for thousands of years. Plus radiation kills.

Nuclear is the dirtiest of all energy sources. What will terrorists do with these plants. Think about it.

  • where would all the radioactive waste go?

  • It's recyclable. We use it again and again. Only small partion is not recyclable. We got technology so we can find other way to destroy it or use it for something else.

  • people should find a way to tap this methane. Its gonna be a great source of fuel!!

  • God you lot shit me to tears sometimes.

Has it occurred to any single one of you that the use of fosil fuels is bad for the planet? And that regardless of climate change and the end of the world as we know it, we should ALL be trying to have new energy technologies implimented as soon as possible. And not just locally but globaly.

Why must you all insist on fighting over whether or not Al Gore and others are right. Green fuel is simply better for us & the planets longevity.

    So act, don't argue!

  • aaaaaaaaaaand humans continue to do nothing. YAY MONEY!! :D

  • Of course I encourage prevention of future problems, however to me it seems Al Gore wants us to drop everything in our hands and laserfocus our attention on global warming, or else we become extinct in 20 yrs. The actual problem here imo, is that this one "problem" or put in other words, a ruling technique to control the masses, which has an extremely doubtful scientific backbone, blinds us from making realistic preventive measures to actual future problems.

  • he just wants attention

  • The man made global warming hoax. I don't believe this climate crisis propaganda, but it sure hell makes a lot of workplaces and a giant arena for climate scientists to play on and make their own climate models to baffle the world about how bad it is going to be. This whole "movement" is doing alot when it comes to development of alternative energy, but I say focus on handling other pressing issues, in the present time first!! God i'm tired of Al Gore's presentations!

  • The problem with not dealing with issues of the future is in this case there comes a point when once the issue has arrived it is already to late to be dealt with. I find it puzzling the way much of the world has fallen into a state of allowing problems to be created then treating symptoms rather than focusing on prevention and not allowing the problems to created in the first place.

Also, if your tired of his presentations, ...don't watch them.

  • Either way for the past 100 years, from the beg of the industrial revolution co2 has been emitting, It doesn't magically disappear. How could you not see this simple fact. The world will not stop it's use, as the population grows it will just emit even more.

  • This is the science:

    watch?v=52KLGqDSAjo

Global warming is occurring. The problem is that there is very likely a tipping point, beyond which we could do serious damage, and we are rapidly approaching that point.

  • I wouldn't dismiss carbon capture so readily, Al. I like you but let's not be dogmatic about our green agenda. It's obvious that carbon capture would only be a stopgap measure before we develop a truly sustainable energy infrastructure but it's worth a try!

  • I should clarify; sustainable and CLEAN energy infastructure.

  • There is some interesting carbon capture technology where they just sit big Vats of bacteria above the flumes on coal factories. All of the CO2 emissions pass through the bacterias vats and the bacteria absorb the CO2 in their normal metablolic reactions. The vats filled with carbon rich bacteria are then taken down and burnt for energy. I don't know what the yield is or how successful it is, but its interesting nonetheless

  • Lol this is nonsence.

CO2 IS NOT THE CAUSE OF CLIMATE CHANGE IS THE SUN!!!!

  • The sun does have cycles but this is just evidence, look at mars

  • Hey did anyone hear that Gore has now eliminated the "hockey stick' graph from his materials? THE WHOLE FUKIN THING IS BASED ON THE HOCKEY STICK GRAPH AND NOW GORE ELIMINATES IT FROM HIS THEORY!!

  • "his theory"???? Al Gore is not even a scientist, moron. The greenhouse model of climate change is almost a century old and the current warming was PREDICTED by ACTUAL SCIENTISTS over 30 years ago based on this model.

  • Yeah I would call what he is pushing as "his theory". You don't have to be a scientist with a degree on the wall to have a theory. In this vid Gore says deforestation and fossils fuels are the causes without giving any evidence to support it.. The only evidence he had was the hockey stick graph which has been debunked so thoroughly that Gore has dropped it. 30 years ago may seem like a long time to u but I remember 30 years ago and they were saying an ice age was coming.

  • So much misinformation it hurts. There is no "Al Gore's theory of climate change". Maybe he's wrong about some things, I wouldn't know though, cause when it comes to scientific issues I'd rather listen to scientists. He's only reporting what the scientists are telling us and if he's distorting some facts (again; I don't know if he is because I don't listen to politicians on the matters of science) that doesn't invalidate the consensus among scientists.

  • The question isn't whether or not CO2 can cause global warming. The science on radiation and wavelingths shows that to be the case. The question is wether or not mankind can produce enough to cause this to happen or IS causing it to happen and there is no evidence to suggest that. Do you really think the .2% of mankinds share of greenhouse gasses is causing this? It's absurd.

  • I find it baffling how some laymen think they have a knockdown argument against GW; it's both naive and arrogant especially with such a trite argument. Apparently in their rush to scare people and push their green agenda climate scientists forgot to see what's obvious to average Joe. Newsflash; you're not on the forefront of discovery, you're not telling anyone anything new and you're not about to get a nobel prize. But then some people (you) seem to think GW is a theory dreamt up by Al Gore.

  • I don't have to read anymore. CO2 makes up a TINY % of green-house gasses. 95% of green-house gas is water vapor. Among the other 5% is co2 ,man's overall contribution to green-house gas is 0.2%. Whats naive and arrogant is to think mankind is changing the climate of the planet.

  • What a relief! That 'thinking' stuff was dangerous! Good thing you managed to avoid it. Best wishes.

  • We've had a slight misunderstanding. I should clarify that 4% is the ratio of human contributed CO2 to natural CO2. 0.28% is the ratio of all human contributed GHGs to natural GHGs. The problem with the water wapor argument is that it ignores spectroscopy (please educate yourself on this subject). It was discovered by Gilbert Plass more than 50 yrs ago that CO2 has different absorption spectrum than water vapor. Different GHGs have slightly different absorption spectra complementing each other

  • You're denying that CO2 levels are rising? Because that's what your comment can be reduced to. It's not 0.2% but about 4%. The short answer is: natural CO2 is absorbed by carbon "sinks". Most is used in photosynthesis. The system is self regulating and most of what we emit isn't absorbed. It accumulates over decades. Check out this article and PLEASE read it before coming back
