It's a shame that it has taken so long and it's not even close to being fixed! I live in West Texas and there are quite a few people who ended up this direction from Louisiana! They said they don't want to go back! Cause even if they could, there is nothing there!

This is the most fucked up thing this country could have done to its own people. Our government needs to take a look in the mirror and figure out who the fuck we are. I am a white male from Phoenix, AZ. Everyone here never talks about this area. Look how things are still. if this was Beverly Hills they would have rebuilt already. America is fucked and we need to fix it. I am sorry for all the people who had to deal with this disaster. RIP to the folks who didn't make it out.

Not only that, but it's utterly shameful that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police made it to New Orleans from Alberta, Canada before the United States Navy did from Corpus Christi.

I love New Orleans and hope that it one day gains the respect from the rest of the nation (and the government) that it so deserves.
