Wow all these guys "I tried this, it didn't work out so great." I find it really hard to beleive fellas. It's not the kind of thing you do with regular chainsaws, you can see these have the handle on the back which allows him to catch it and that he is obviously well in control of what he is doing, his feet are carefully placed, he practically meditates before starting, and he put the mat out where he needed the chainsaw to land. He's not some drunk guy messing around, He has the skillz.

Jerry. Don't come on here and try & be a smartarse, if you ain't done your homework. Some chainsaws will activate when thier blade comes in contact with a solid surface. This function is especially handy when working with a lot of wood saving you from holding the trigger down constantly. And in any case. Can you Juggle? Probably not especially not 3 chainsaws at once, so why dont you just shut the hell up?

well..... chain saws dont rotate the blade unless you rev it, because of the centrifgul clutch, (srry i cant spell) any way its not very dangerous, knifes is dangerous and torches dont burn unless you hold them for a while.

from working on chain saws for 13 years, I can tell you that the saws he is using are set up for the chains to rotate even in the idle position. And based on the sound, they are rotating pretty fast too.

This guy probably has been doing it for a very long time, and although it might seem that he is not being cautious, he is very cautious. Look at his hands and feet, they are all there. Maybe a couple of fingers might be missing since the video is bad quality, but that just teaches him a lesson.

From using basic logic for more than 13 years, I can tell that if that were true, there would be serious SNAFUs around 1:19, and 0:39 especially. Besides, I think that you allowed yourself to be misled by the sound the chainsaws make when he actually revs them up, which he does intermittently, let's say for the purpose of entertainment. The juggling is still impressive because of the skill involved and because you can hurt yourself badly anyway.

Chainsaws' blades don't rotate unless you hold the triggers down, which you can't do while throwing them in the air. He is in MUCH less danger than a person juggling fire or swords, there's nothing really impressive about this. Chainsaw juggling is all about getting used to the weight and spin of them and after that they might as well be jagged clubs. He would never stand a chance in any serious juggling competition.
