oh another ( well 2) kid movies that are really great to watch are spirited away and my neighbor totoro! even though i didnt watch these movies untill i was about 11-12 years old i just loved them! my little brother and sister love watching it too and get excited when i decide to let them watch it online. you cant help but just love the characters and the music and artwork is simply B-E-A -utiful! ill send you the urls and see if they look intresting to you :)
@jigglypuff2cute Thanks for sending me those links, but I've already seen Spirited Away and Totoro. :) Both great movies! Spirited Away is probably one of my favourite animated films.
that's nice of you to ask what out favorite kids movies were! people usually put down their fav movies or such and the person will get mad and... well anyways. Most of them i grew up watching, especially land before time. i watched that a lot. kid movies that i watched that you didnt already say would be Ferngully: the last rainforest, The many adventures of Whinnie the Pooh, Bambi, Pokemon the first movie, All dogs go to heaven, Oliver and company , little mermaid, Anastasia... thats it for now
I guess being a little boy at the time my list would be different but most are the same lol! Omg i totally agree with you on thinking the remake of chocolate factory is just totally crappy, id never let my kids watch the remake, its poo!!.. I have 3 girls now 3,4&7 so im totally tapped into what little girls love to watch on tv & am constantly havin to buy barbie dvds lol Im happy that the old tv shows like fraggle rock, superted, dogtanian & many others ive got them, they love as much as i did.
et extra terrestrial, flight of the navigator, the goonies and most of your top 10 and tons of others. I could never make a top 10 list as id never be able to decide which to keep or ditch from it... I also now im a parent download.. sorry i buy lol... old originals just like the ones here in ur list & many others for my kids to watch now. Also i have lots of old tv shows like all of fraggle rock, flintstones, superted and just loads of others. My kids much prefer them to their modern day stuff!
Great and surprising list, especially because there weren't very many Disney films. It's nice to see someone mention the lesser known and, you know this is true, forgotten kids films of the past. I love Land Before Time. That and the Lion King would definitely make my list if I made one, which I wouldn't dare do. I have too many to name off.
Nice list! Do you still watch family/kids movies today? Personally, I love Pixar and Toy Story was everything to me when I grew up. Films today are now Family films that anyone can enjoy and not necessarily "Kids" films, which I like. :)
@KmorrisonNCC1701 Yup! I still love watching kids movies, and Pixar is definitely great for them. To be honest though, I wish there were less family oriented films and more that were purely created for children. There's something so sweet about movies like that that I really appreciate.
@EpicConspiracy Haha I'd never even heard of that movie, but I just watched the trailer and I gotta say.. I'm pretty sure those puppets would have given me nightmares as a kid, lol!
@G456Lakes I know it's crazy! There were awesome movies BEFORE Toy Story. XD Hahaha! But honestly, even though I liked Toy Story and I got to see it in theatres, and I played the Toy Story game for gameboy all the time... it's not a film that really stands out from my childhood.
Awesome picks! A lot of those were my favorite as a kid and they're still some of my favorite movies today. I love The Lion King, Land Before Time, Mrs. Doubtfire, Willy Wonka, and Casper. Casper is really underrated and I really like the score in that film. Have you ever seen a movie called, We're Back?
@SomethingAboutMovies Oh haha youtube was slow for me yesterday and the video froze for a second, so I skipped a bit ahead and must have skipped right over your number 6. lol I don't know how many times I watched that movie as a kid. It was awesome!
CASPER!!! i loved that movie, i went to see it at the theater with a guy i kinda liked, and my older brother lol when i was a kid i was really in to musicals, the Newsies with christian bale, omg...
I can't even deal with this video! You mentioned some movies I watched as a kid that I truly enjoyed but have now forgotten, yet you brought them all back into my memory bank! Eg: "We're Back", "Rock A Doodle" and "Thumbelina". Wow... As for my favorite kids movies growing... there's way too many, but basically all the Disney movies from the 90's are some of them, the goonies, wizard of oz and many you've mentioned!
LUCKY UR LEFT HANDED! lol

I use to love Casper as well, that was my favorite scene as well with the ghost eating & the food going right through them. x_x
