@MageSutek Thats the certification of live birth. Can't get so much as a drivers license with that. As a citizen born abroad I ran into a similar problem. Only had (at the time) my certification of birth abroad and not my long form so I have some insight on this.

Foreign certificates of birth, long form or not, are going to be scrutinized by the INS, the main reason being: you were not born in America. This is not the case for Obama. He was born in Hawaii. In the state of Hawaii, the law of the state validates certificates of live birth. The "long form," as you put it, is in Hawaii under the control of the state. People can go see it. Otherwise, this is what there is.

My mother's birth certificate from Arizona that she tendered in "short form" for dual citizenship...

If anyone does not satisfy ALL of these requirements, they are not eligible to hold the office of president of the United States. Obama only meets the age, and even if he proves he was born in Hawaii(he hasn't), still does not meet the others.
People need to be aware that most have gotten the Constitution's "natural" born qualification wrong. What the Constitution really means is that the person has to be born naturally, i.e., no caesarian section or other "unnatural" procedures. They have to be born by traveling down the birth canal.

I know my health care system doesn't have massive co-pays or death panels on private insurance companies that deny health care to those with pre-existing conditions.
I also have awesome relatives in the US that voted for Obama, so there.

1. Seems False. Google "Birthers are mostly Republican and Southern daily kos" although the blog seems slanted too far left, I don't see any polls going the other way.
2. Its nontrivial to label Obama's foreign policy as appeasement. Even if it is, it doesn't mean he's muslim. You'd need to write more specifically.
3. I'm a conservative democrat, I didn't vote for Obama. I am no robot, but I do energy research.

Again, Freedom of Speech applies to the government. You do not have the right to say whatever you want and not have there be consequences. First, the Senate Resolution passed to say that the Senate believed McCain to be eligible to run for President has no legal authority. All it is is an opinion of those signed (which included both Obama and Hilary Clinton). Second, you honestly believe that McCain, knowing this was his last shot, would not have brought up Obama's eligibility if there was anything there? His own campaign admits they looked into it and found nothing. Obama is eligible.

1) Obama must be an American who was born in the USA. The FULL birth certificate is needed to prove that.
2) BOTH parents of Obama must be American. His father was NOT American and his adopted father was Indonesian.

@MageSutek Thats the certification of live birth. Can't get so much as a drivers license with that. As a citizen born abroad I ran into a similar problem. Only had (at the time) my certification of birth abroad and not my long form so I have some insight on this.
Personally, I am with you. There are much more substantive issues to hammer this guy on.

@rvndmnmt The debate is not about driving licenses, it is about being president. Foreign certificates of birth, long form or not, are going to be scrutinized by the INS, the main reason being: you were not born in America. This is not the case for Obama. He was born in Hawaii. In the state of Hawaii, the law of the state validates certificates of live birth. The "long form," as you put it, is in Hawaii under the control of the state. People can go see it. Otherwise, this is what there is.

@MageSutek - With the Hawaii Health Dept. just refusing a federal court ordered subpoena demanding they turn over Obama's, "birth certificate", for inspection by a document expert how does anyone know that Obama was born in Hawaii? I wonder why it is that Obama is using a social security number that was never assigned to him? Why would someone do that? What would they be hiding? I'm pretty dumb, so I can't figure this out. Could you help? :)

@rvndmnmt It's no less legitimate a legal document than my birth certificate from Ft. Carson Army Base in Colorado, which covered me when I applied for a position with the DOD, my sister's certificate of live birth from North Dakota, tendered by a hospital that burned down years after her birth, which afforded her dual citizenship between the United States and the United Kingdom. My mother's birth certificate from Arizona that she tendered in "short form" for dual citizenship...

@rvndmnmt ...between what was then the Republic of Ireland and the US (Ireland is now a country of the EU), afforded her Irish citizenship, US citizenship, and later, EU citizenship. Her "long form" birth certificate is in Maricopa County, Arizona, under the control of the Department of Vital Statistics. Therefore, my point is this: all states have different standards, but they are all legal, as is in the case of the president. The "Birther Movement" is fueled by resentment over race, full stop.

Academic records are sealed under FERPA and other Federal privacy acts. SS also sealed by the DOD. You have yours handy? Medical records are none of your business or anyone else's. He was deemed fit for office by doctors, he has not keeled over, unlike our former VP who did every other day. You indicting Cheney for anything? Senate records are waiting in IL for you. Requirements to hold office:
1)Must be a naturally born citizen(ie born on US soil)
2) Both parents must be US Citizens at the time of birth
3) Must have maintained sole US Citizenship a full 14 years prior to inaguration.
4) Must be 35 years old or older
If anyone does not satisfy ALL of these requirements, they are not eligible to hold the office of president of the United States. Obama only meets the age, and even if he proves he was born in Hawaii(he hasn't), still does not meet the others.

People need to be aware that most have gotten the Constitution's "natural" born qualification wrong. What the Constitution really means is that the person has to be born naturally, i.e., no caesarian section or other "unnatural" procedures. They have to be born by traveling down the birth canal.

Obama made that statement without any evidence against "Al Qaeda" or their supposed leader Osama Bin Laden. OBL is not wanted in connection with 9/11 because the FBI admits they have no evidence.
There's a mountain of very credible scientific evidence that WTC 1, 2 and 7 were brought down by controlled demolition. Only someone with a complete lack of the capacity for reason could turn their head on this overwhelming evidence.

1) Since most of the country thinks that he's a natural born citizen more news on this stoy damages his likely legitimate political power.

1. Seems False. Google "Birthers are mostly Republican and Southern daily kos" although the blog seems slanted too far left, I don't see any polls going the other way.
2. Its nontrivial to label Obama's foreign policy as appeasement. Even if it is, it doesn't mean he's muslim. You'd need to write more specifically.
3. I'm a conservative democrat, I didn't vote for Obama. I am no robot, but I do energy research.

First, the Senate Resolution passed to say that the Senate believed McCain to be eligible to run for President has no legal authority. All it is is an opinion of those signed (which included both Obama and Hilary Clinton). Second, you honestly believe that McCain, knowing this was his last shot, would not have brought up Obama's eligibility if there was anything there? His own campaign admits they looked into it and found nothing. Obama is eligible.

RURIGHT - The very serious problem this represents is, if we are going to ignore the U.S. Constitution at a PRESIDENTIAL LEVEL, then every single American citizens rights that are ALSO in the Constitution, can ALSO BE IGNORED. This threatens every single American citizen and the very FABRIC of this nation. It sets an extremely dangerous precedent. The LAW must be FOLLOWED and there is no higher law except those by God almighty, than the U.S. Constitution, the law of the land.

There are a lot of LIBERAL colleges that purposely omit information AND/OR discredit history and add their own personal opinion to that, which is usually remembered by the student.
