I neeever admitted I was wrong or you were right. You keep writing these long 3 or 4 posts and I am telling you that it is a waste of time. YOU ARE DEFINITELY WRONG ON ALL ACCOUNTS AN IMO IGNORANT. Like I said if you dont like Obama then go to another website and get off of this one
Just to let you know, I dont read everything you right. Waste of time! I dont post on people's youtube who I dont like. If you dont like him......DONT VOTE FOR HIM DUUUUUUUUUH! and please go on a youtube site for the candidate you like.
Dil: Thank you for admitting that you were wrong, in that, I have not lied. Where Obama is concerned, it's not that I don't like him, I don't know him. If anything, I am scared of him and the lack of experience that he brings to the table. Before Bush was elected, people from Texas were screaming that he was a bad choice, but weren't listened too. Perhaps the same holds true for Obama.
Perhaps NOT! Sen. Obama has been a law maker for 10+ yrs, Prof of Constitutional Law, Civil Rights Atty, Ivy League Edu @ Columbia & Harvard Law & Pres of famed Harvard Law Review. His 1st date with his now wife was to a shelter to feed the homeless. Who has ever had a better resume? Actors, peanut farmers, wives of presidents, failed businessmen/son of a bad President. C'mon. OBAMA '08 for Intelligent Honest Leadership!
We have had the old run our country and we need to think of supporting a new generation of leaders why not start with someone who represents a new path- the road not taken by Bush. You should be able to judge Why is it that old people (old in thinking) are always talking the experience card? The president doesn't run the country all by himself - his job is to lay out the vision and choose people to work with him toward that vision.
Here is an issue that was completely with Obamas power: Obama stated to The Dailey Herald 3 years ago that: Obama and Blagojevich stood united in that they would not allow NICOR gas to raise their rates. However, when "push came to shove" neither did what they said they would and Nicor's rates went up almost 30%. If Obama never planned on making a stand or if he were unable to make a stand, he never should have promised that he would.
Dil: I do not hold Obama SOLELY responsible for the problems in Illinois, I am simply pointing out that he has not done his part in resolving issues in Illinois. Obama talks about changing odds for urban America, but he has not done anything for Chicago's inner city schools. If he is going to make a change, he could have done so already and started with the state that elected him. If he is unable to be effective in Illinois, what why should anyone think we will be effective for the US?
Well then dont vote for him....WHO CARES! I dont know how anyone that works for a law firm can compare being senator to being President. Any idiot with a high school diploma knows that a senator is a glorified representative of his state. His hands are tied with alot of state affairs. And how dare you blame chicago's inner cty problems(been going on for 30 plus years) on Obama. If it took over 30 years to decline, do you think it will be less than a year to fix. GET REAL AND USE COMMON SENSE!
Dil: Ah I see, it's the famous "that's not my job" phrase. Illinois condition is a reflection on its management and that includes Obama. Who cares you ask? Obama cares, 'last time I checked he wanted all of the votes that he can get and that includes mine. Also, any person who might be considering voting for Obama will care about thought provoking opinions from those who live in the state that elected Obama
I am not saying that Obama caused the problem in the schools; I am saying that he has done nothing to change their condition. Obama preaches change, however, change starts at home. If he were serous about seeing change he would have already begun attacking problems in Chicago's inner schools, not waiting until he is President to do so
Some of you guys think that Ron Paul is the answer.
Sadly to say, he's not. How can I put my trust in someone who say's that his first priority when taking office is to abolish the Federal Reserve and the IRS?!!
You get nothing for nothing in life. If you want change, then we the people must come together and unite.
Sadly, many of us wanted Gore then Kerry, or almost anyone else that would have been on the "anybody but Bush ticket". But thanks to "the red states" (and a little bit of good old fashion poll fixing) gore lost...
To Obama and his people: You may have blocked my ID:Lawtek711, making me unable to post comments to any video posted by BarackObama dot com. However, I can create as many id's as I wish. Obviously I must be "on to something" or else you would not have blocked me. What's wrong? Scared of the truth?
Liaaaaaaaaaaaaar ! You did not criticize the governor in your original post. You put all the blame on the high prices in Illinois on Obama. If you are going to blame the governor, then go to his youtube website and GET THE HECK OFF OF THIS ONE!
Nooooooo, my statement was, and I quote: "Obama and Blagojevich stated that they would not allow NICOR gas to raise their rates. However, when "push came to shove" neither did what they said they would". In other words, I have stated that, and lets pay attention this time,: neither Obama nor Blagojevich did what they said that they would. Did ya see it? Do I need to "spell it out for you"? I am just as critical of Blagojevich. And again I ask the question, what has Obama done for Illinois?
BULL CRAP! Take your lies and shove it down your untruthful tongue YOu put all the blame on Obama as if things are his fault. To make it so bad, alot of these issues were either in the works or already implemented by the time Obama was elected Senator. And you have the never to be critical about things you dont know what you are talking about. Ask yourself, "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ILLINOIS?"
Diligent: If you scroll through the posts, you will clearly see my comments, none of which are lies. The evidence is right in front of you, and anyone else that reads these posts. What have I done for Illinois? I am a member of the Knights of Columbus charity org. and have implemented various functions as well as partaken in several others. I also write to congress as well as the governor's office. I also vote, coincidentally, I voted for Obama twice, However, I am unhappy with his performance.
Diligent: have you noticed how I have been able to refrain from maliciously insulting you? Unfortunately you have not been able to do the same, I wonder why that is? Be aware, I choose my words carefully. My handle: Lawtek, is a reference to my profession. I'll give you a hint; I work for a Law Firm. I have followed Obama closely over the past several years, and rightly so considering that I voted for him. I feel that we must demand that our officials are held accountable. Do you disagree?
Comeon now, there is no need to racism. There are serious issues that need to be addressed in this country, and we, the United States, have already done enough damage by electing and reelecting Bush. The next leader needs to be one that will address and resolve problems. Allowing racism to flourish will only cause problems that we don't need
Ok, lets talk about the environment then. Earlier this year Obama and McCain proposed a bill that would reduce greenhouse gasses by ONLY 2% every year for the next 10 years. Now in my opinion, 2% is such a small amount that it is "next to nothing". If Obama is interested in addressing the severe environmental issues that we face, why is his position so negligible? Actions speak louder than words.
While Obama does not run the state of Illinois, he has a vested interest in the state it's self. If we are to make a change in this country, we must demand more of our elected officials. I now pose this question: what has Obama done for Illinois?
WHAT HAS OUR GOVERNOR DID FOR ILLINOIS! If you dont like Obama then fine....dont like him. But dont blame issues that are not completely under his control on him. Then you have the nerve to let the governor and mayors get off scott free. You are really dumb or just ignorant.
UNGH! "Really dumb or ignorant?" Really? Diligent25: If you had intelligently interrupted my post, you would have realized that I AM criticizing the Gov as well as Obama. Honestly now, what is dumb or ignorant about wanting a representative to "make good" on their promises? Again I ask the question: What has Obama done for Illinois? I have yet to see or hear an answer to the question. Instead I receive insults for asking the question
I am only holding Obama accountable for issues that are within his control. I live in Illinois, I voted for Obama, and I feel that I have every right to ask him to take responsibility for the state that he was elected to represent. Both Obama and Blagojevich (governor-Illinois) could have blocked NICOR gas from raising their rates as well as the electric company, but they didn't. I don't have a problem with him writing a book, just advertising it on my dime!
Obama, while you have been Illinois senator the cost of gas (4-homes) has gone up almost 30%, electric bills have gone up almost 30%, phone bills have gone up almost 30%. If you can't handle the job of senator, why should anyone vote for you?
First of all you dont know what you are talking about. A senator is basically a representative from a state in Congress. He votes on National and International issues concerning the country. He is not the governor of Illinois. If you have a problem with all that you have stated, YOU NEED TO LOOK AT THE GOVERNOR AND THE STATES ON CONGRESS ......it;s ot Obama's fault. He does not run this state...DUMMY!

We want corruption uprooted at a grassroots level.
