is it just me or does this picture in the background look like they pulled one of those fake nibiru pictures onto the video two give the illusion of two suns
you know, some time ago I heard that according some scientists, Jupiter is in fact a star which has used all of its power so now it doesn't light... So, if that is true, a lot time ago, our planet might have had two suns... And what is more interesting, this is true according to the astronomers, but according even to the Bible too...
That's an interesting hypothesis, but it gets shot down almost instantly. For starters observations on frequencies and wavelengths suggest that Jupiter is made up of nearly 90% Hydrogen and about 10% Helium. And as stars are basically powered by converting Hydrogen and Helium into higher elements, this is not the make-up of a body that has used its "fuel". Most scientists would agree that Jupiter never achieved the critical mass to become a star, so it simply never was one.
@Rahavin1 Great question! It's actually a natural process that occurs when something starts to rotate. Things in the Universe tend towards states of lowest energy (which is why stars are spherical rather than any other shape, e.g. cubes). The lowest energy state for rotating free particles (like gas molecules or dust grains) is in a flat plane. You can see a similar effect with many planets, e.g. Jupiter, which is fatter when measured around the equator than around the poles.
Well our own solar system could have been a binary system if only the mass of Jupiter had been a little bit greater, thus starting fusion process at its core.
Real quick, don't we find planets around stars by watching the wobble of stars?

Also over time the large sun can eat the small sun, leaving a system with one star.
If that many systems are binary now it could also show age to a system if its no longer binary.

So our planet are made from leftovers from a star? This is just getting wierder and wierder.

ok... I understand how plains of accretion form... but why in planes? why not fields? what forces all the material to coalesse into disks?
Rahavin1 1 year ago
@Rahavin1 Gravity, its the binding force of the entire universe (along with dark matter)
Whatisrock237 1 year ago
@Whatisrock237 well, ya, but Im saying why not just in rotating fields? why disks?
Rahavin1 1 year ago
@Whatisrock237 Gravity is'nt really considered a force, Gravity is the effect a mass has on space time.
