This collection of hits that came out on Dec 19,1981 just one week after the birth of a future superstar named Britney Spears. At the same time my family got pay tv in our home and we got it for 3 years before we get cable. During that time Absence of Malice, Ghost Story, Taps, & Sharky's Machine. opens in theatres. I love the songs No. 10,9,6,5,4,3,& 2 they're so memorable while ONJ shatters her good girl image to do a randy hit that stayed at No.1 for 10 weeks.

Tough luck for Foreigner with waitng for a girl like u having to play 2nd to ONJ's physical. Had "waiting" been released any other time besides "physical" it certainly would have been a #1 hit and probably for a good month. Glad that Foreigner did hit the top of the charts about 3 years later with "I wanna know what love is" though.

Between "Bette Davis Eyes", "Endless Love", and "physical", those 3 songs probably held the #1 spot for more than half the year!

Olivia Newton-John ruled the early 80s, she could have made it hard for Madonna if she would have been constant and updated. She devoted her time to family and her record production slowed down.
