@Goldschle@packoftwenty Ever since Columbus set foot in this hemisphere, people from all over the world have been coming to America in hopes for a better opportunity for themselves and their families.
It is deeply troubling to me, that the decedents of those immigrants, including myself, have allowed our immigration laws to become so broken and unfair that the vast majority of our ancestors never would have been able to come here if today’s rules had been applied to them.
It is tragic. I really am sorry to hear about it. But I think the blame is on his parents, not the Congress. I'm a non citizen myself, but I'm legal. I had to go through so much to maintain my status, I still am. If illegal immigrants can get PR status, I think I should get citizenship right away. It's only fair I suppose.

This whole "Campus Progress" bullshit is simply about one thing - STEALING white people's countries from under their noses.
Why are these people here? Why aren't they in their ANCESTORS' countries? Maybe because their ancestors' countries are full of people like THEM, and are thus FAILURES?
Why aren't white people allowed to have their own countries any more?

I find the mentality of these third world SCUM hard to fathom: "we stand together", etc. "sweltering with the heat of oppression". Sickening. Why doesn't he LEAVE the USA if he hates white people so much, if they're treating his sorry ass so 'unfairly'.
I'm "undocumented" - you mean, you're an ILLEGAL immigrant. If you're so great, why don't you move back to KOREA? Is anybody supposed to be impressed by this loser? Go back to Korea.
@packoftwenty Did he ever say that he hates "white people so much"? He never complained that they were treating his "sorry ass" unfairly. I honestly don't know where you're getting all of this. You're practically shoving words that mean the complete opposite of what he advocates for into his mouth. Perhaps you shouldn't do that.
A friend of mine is undocumented and is going to get a full-ride at Yale. Undocumented students, in my projection, will probably be held back in pause for another 2-3 years. It's reality, and it sucks, but there is no doubt that they will over come. DREAM ACT NOW
he represents surely the highest 1/1000 of "illegal immigrants" in his potential... and there are many avenues open to him career-wise via work sponsorship... he is stymied by keeping his parents off the grid, and it was selfish of them to martyr him... yet, he has now exposed them with his politically-charged indignation. in my mind, this is the cardinal opposite of the "american dream" he cites. david has not "earned" citizenship; he simply expects it by virtue of his gerrymandering.
@sotired310 I deserve citizenship merely by the good fortune of waking up in that hospital bed to naturalized parents. In short, you believe that everyone else in the world has the right to be a US citizen, since its GDP-weighted 'Standard of Living' is the highest. However, if we redistributed the bounty of our sovereignty throughout the world... well, eventually there wouldn't be anything left to immigrate into. And that's what you want, isn't it??
@goldschle heck, I had the good fortune of being born in the US.
The requirements of the DREAM Act state that there are prereqs that must be met in order to even be eligible for the DREAM Act as well as reqs that must be met to obtain citizenship (overall ~ 6 years). Only those who are of the ages 12-35 when the bill is enacted can apply. And, studies have shown that the DREAM Act would actually stimulate our economy. So, what I want doesn't matter. It's about giving these students a chance.
@goldschle He's not expecting anything. To be eligible for the DREAM Act you must attend college/serve in the military for at least 2 years. Therefore, he would be working for his path to citizenship. He deserves it. Look at this kid. He's a superstar! He only wants to contribute to our economy. What's so wrong about that when it wasn't his wrong doing in the first place? The DREAM Act must be passed this year. Why don't you look into the basic requirements of the DREAM Act and THEN comment?
This man is not a genius...he is a PROPHET!!! Don't like this comment for me, like it for David Cho!
