Well, if it hadnt been for zoos, the awareness for these animals wouldnt be so high. And many of the wildlife preservers got their inspirations from going to the zoo. And for the record, this cage in the video isnt where the lion spend his days, they do got open areas to frolic in.

There are exceptions where people get pets and treat them like babies but the majority treats them like machines that have to function. I've never been to India,it might be different there.But even in india not everybody is a hindu. And while buddhism is very common in the rest of aisa,it's certainly not everybody.Plus,buddhism comes in dozens of "flavours" and many practice it only sketchily
