  • Man! THAT IS AWESOME!!! I just wish they thought of adding more cool loops and things after the tilt drop... then it would've been an epic perfect coaster. As it is, if it weren't for the tilt drop, it would've been very lame.

  • damn chinese ¬¬

  • i hope they have like 10 emergency brakes

  • Comment removed

  • If the brakes failed you'd be fucked!

  • Other then the first part this rides not that scary

  • You know the lady speaking in Japanese at the beginning? I bet she actually said,

Have fun, and don't expect to come back alive! I rigged the brakes."

  • Oh and also it'd need to be taller and longer. Would be one heullva ride

  • Such a cool idea, I've known about this for years and theres still only 1!? B&M needs to make their own here in the US and I would be in heaven

  • @tiki2188 I guarantee that B&M would never in a million years make one of these, apart from The Incredible Hulk, they don't even make launched coasters because of unreliability. They would never make this type of coaster. Sorry pal

  • @bucks699

Yeah they are very traditional, lift to highest point, max speed at bottom and carry through ride. They later said they hated the hulk launch but hey, that's what I said Heaven...we can dream lol

  • back is best

  • That looks epic!:O

  • What?

  • The scream at 1:06 scares me ._.

  • @fruitegable lol

  • How it works: After the train reaches the end of the horizontal tilt segment, a hook grabs the rear car of the train. This holds the train in place during the tilting. As a safety precaution, a large block of steel at the front of the tilt segment prevents the train from rolling off the end should the hook fail. After the tilt segment is vertical and inline with the vertical drop, the block is pulled away and the hook is released.

  • I helped build this ride actually, and we did use Electromagnetic Brakes.

  • Fuck. That.

  • @littleRydia7 Very mature, commenting on a 6months old comment. Maybe you need attention?

  • and this is it???????? hahahahahahahahahaha

  • What an awesome idea!

I remember hearing about this thing years ago when it first opened, awesome idea but really short, shame this is the only one!

B&M should make their own versions elsewhere (preferably close to me in the states) could be such an awesome ride!

  • The tilt idea was awsome!

  • japanase love to build super-slow lift chain

  • You better hope the brakes work that day

  • Haha, can anyone say one trick pony?

  • 1:19 they should put a barricade there....its scary lol

  • They're making a left turn!

  • this coaster is a accident waiting to happen. so many things can go wrong with a ride like that...

  • only good if you sit in the back

  • This type of ride [Tilt Coaster] is in RCT3 because I recognize the tilt drop.

  • what if they did that on Millennium Force Holy crap!!

  • The concept is scary but this ride itself is not big enough. Once the track rotates your practically already at the bottom of the hill.

  • @mdice42 That's why you ride in the back of the train. :-)

  • wow

  • i would be so scared that the tracks wouldn't latch right and i would go plummeting to my death. but i would still ride it.

  • i wish vekoma would build this model in america but it would probably have tons of problems and end up like the giant interverted boomerangs.

  • @jwhittle91 Yeah, but with all the safety laws, tilt coasters probably aren't allowed in the US.

  • @LegoThemeparkCrazy

euh why not? it's built by vekoma(the netherlands), a respectable coaster builder.

  • @slimmerikje Yes, but it really depends on were you put it.

  • @LegoThemeparkCrazy

    Strange..

all coasters are inspected by TUV. Doesn't matter where you put them. TUV decides whether they are safe are not. Clearly a tilt coaster is safe otherwise TUV would not allowe to open it.

  • man u guys are so negetive its qute good actually

how many of you have ever seen something like this is real life hey

  • Too short.

  • wow that was lefty

  • You can like see so much of Taiwan there..

  • booooooooooooooooo!!!!!

  • Is that even legal? lol

  • @utoob153 Lol, i dont think so, taiwan is a hole of shitty ppl. And if you miss the track by 1 inch and it releases, you're dead.

  • @YourComputerExpert its safer then walking on the streets in the usa....

  • damn hehe if i whas on this ride mi brains wil be flipping out XD (what if....omg stop hit the brake please oooof ore omg just hold hold ith com on brakes dont let me go hehe)

  • Awesome!

  • Vekoma rides may be rough but they have built some cool stuff.

  • oh shiznit!!

  • so how does it stu on the rails after it drops?

  • I know for a fact they did not have electromagnetic brakes, so if the brake pads broke, they would free fall to the ground.

  • @erni5cp After the train reaches the end of the horizontal tilt segment, a hook grabs the rear car of the train. This holds the train in place during the tilting. As a safety precaution, a large block of steel at the front of the tilt segment prevents the train from rolling off the end should the hook fail. After the tilt segment is vertical and inline with the vertical drop, the block is pulled away and the hook is released.

  • @erni5cp You wouldn't necessarily want electromagnetic brakes as if there was a power cut at the critical moment then then the car would fall to the ground. If you have mechanical breaks then your power can be cut and you are still find. If I was the engineer I would want both mechanical and electromagnetic for total secrurity.

  • @erni5cp Bet all three of the different brake systems seen on that tilt track are completely separate systems...so if one fails the other two continue to function.

  • @erni5cp magnetic brakes don't brake the train completely, to have a complete stop the track must have standard brakes. Take a look to the modern coasters and see it :)

  • @erni5cp That would only happen if the train was held in place by brakes, which it isn't. And only if there wasn't a failsafe, which there is.

  • @erni5cp It's held by a hook at the back, and a blocker in front of the train too, not just brakes...

  • @erni5cp not true, there is a hook that hooks up at the end of the train and its kept in place by 2 pins at the front. If it were only brakes, it would have never been build =)

  • The back is probably the best because the drop would be a whole lot better and bigger

  • I never knew they actually made those rides.

  • very short ride lol I was wondering about this kind of ride and it looks like they have a bar that sticks up in the front that keeps the train from rolling off or anything if they would have a brake problem or something lol

  • This ride is such a gimmick.

  • are there more coasters in the world with that flipping part? :p

  • DAMN that's all this coaster can do that rlly suxx. 4 it 2 b that much of a thrill it's more of a single drop loop, and then the end. ????

  • @6flgslover

The reason they built it so short was likely because of the fact that this was a "proof of concept coaster" It was a risky move to make a coaster with tilting track like this, and luckily it worked. They didn't want to risk wasting a lot of (extra) money on an extensive layout in the case that this was a failure. Luckily, it was a success, but unfortunately, 8 years later, no park has ordered another. Maybe it has lots of mechanical problems we don't know about.

  • @Tanks4meSTC well vekoma did make this rite cuz if so that's proabbly the reason y... um other than that it seemed kinda dangerous in the 1st place so im shocked they even made it but i guess it wuz a sorta gud investment??

  • @6flgslover It isn't dangerous. There's a large piece of retractable metal that acts as a massive door stop to keep the coaster from falling off the edge, in the case the hook system that grabs the train happens to fail.

I'm talking a risk from a mechanical standpoint. That's a BIG piece of moving machinery, so it might be a maintenance nightmare. Nothing much has been said about that, so I guess it might be well built. But then again, no one talks about this ride in the first place.

  • @Tanks4meSTC i get it now. i just 1st saw this kinda ride on my roller coaster game and cud nvr believe that it wuz real but i guess it is XDDD ok i got it now ;)

  • Only thing that's cool about this coaster is the lift/tilt element. The rest of the ride seems incredibly boring.

  • @davisal771

I totaly agree with you they coulda use this system on a WAY better coaster.. it has one looping and like 4 corners.... ''woooow cool'' *coug* sarcasm

  • omg it hurts my ears for some reason (the sound)

  • @?/#

  • The high-frequency signal is hurting my ears. I don't know if anyone else hears that, I just have good hearing. ;-P

  • omfg your right

  • they had to say if this is fun u really want to be bored :D LOL

  • this is the only vid of this ride i can find

  • At 1:30, I think the thrill factor for the video viewer would have been greater if you had just had a single point of view, but thank you for the video anyway.

  • this looks amazing

  • thats freaky

  • looks pretty borring if you ask me

  • so wait...what if the brakes fail before it finishes tilting?

  • i'm completely sure that they've made a system that haves a really really atomic small chance to fail! To me it looks like there's a little stick at the end of the tilting part that mby goes down when it's rdy to go...

I don't know if you know how the brakes are working on this type of coasterr. If you don't it's a little hard to understand...

  • yeah i know im sure its safe and i know the brake system is almost impossible to fail but i was just saying. But i didn't see the stick thing before, i think your right though

  • There's backup brakes too. Basically something's holding if from the front (the primary brakes) and there's something that latches on the back too. Once it's in position, then they release. So even if one was for whatever reason not working, the other one is still there. If neither were working, then the tilt portion wouldn't run and instead would stay there till people are let off and it's fixed

  • Along with the regular brakes, there is a lock to the train, and a a little foot that locks before the tilting starts. Getting rid of the need for constant electrical use to hold it. Then it won't unlock until it is ready.

  • Gess

  • you die

  • Holy Shit.

Im an idiot. Watching Final Destination 3 has prevented me from having the guts to go on this.

  • what?

  • Vekoma should try to sell the Tilt Coaster to parks here in the US, but custom design them to be taller, faster, and have more elements incorporated in with them.

  • I would be absolutely terrified. De-railing is a big issue :(

  • It is? How many coasters have derailed vs how many rides are given? :/

  • dont drop your camera now ;D

  • for a one-of-a-kind...ITS GREAT...

it shows the full capability of that kind of a drop...the first kinds of rollercoasters aren't always the best, but it IS the first, which is why its still good :D

  • Jeez imagine if those brakes failed...

  • there is like no drop AT all.

if it was 150 taller at least, then go into a diving loop, a cobra roll, zero g roll, 2 loops, and a corkscrew, then a nice tunnel with a drop.....then it would be grade A.

  • bigger drop at the back

  • still, the drop isnt big enough, the ride is too short also.

they just need to update it with more elements and height then this puppy would be completely awesome

  • If this roller coaster was much longer with i say about 2 loops,3 crewsrews, 4 drops that would be cool!!!!! like rct3

  • Correction. rct3 is like this.

  • this looks fun, if only cedar point made one like 200 feet tall, that would be a lot more fun, and make it a ton longer

  • i agree with xjx

  • i have a high fear of rollercoasters so that would scare the fuck out of me.

  • Most boring coaster ever! The tilt gets rid of almost all the drop and the only fun bit is when you are tilting and upside down! Lame

  • wow! i agree!

  • Don't care what anyone says that is the best roller coaster in the world and i have been on a lot of roller coasters

  • Ummm... yeah, I'm from Taiwan (where this coaster is), and I can definitely say that there are no amusement parks there that can compare to any in North America or Europe. If you want to take an online tour of the park, (you'll laugh your head off), copy and paste 月眉育樂世界 google search, there's a tab for English (upper right corner), click "discovery" then "facilities introduction", you can click around the park map and you'll see it's more like an amusement park for children.

  • It needs to be much longer. its too smalll.

  • This type of coaster could have been so much more successful if Vekoma were a bit more daring with their designs...

  • This looks like the drop is pretty extreme everything else it seems like something can be handeled. It looks very smooth.

  • Wow...looks like the -only- good part about this coaster is the first drop...after that it looks like it kind of sucks...

  • I must say that is one heck of a beginning never seen anything quite like I'd be scared out of my mind specially being in the first car that I wanna ride it lol they need to bring something like this to the US.

  • With all the left turns I didn't know weather I was watching a roller coaster or a Nascar race.

  • im getting a headache by just watching this xD

  • total cool

  • wow looks boring never gets much speed

  • It gets speed, it just doesn't look like it on camera. :)

  • This made me so dizzy when I was watching it. :/

  • really? that was quick

  • Yeah yeah lady it is a glass tube for peat sake!!

    She says this on 2:00

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome idea, need one of these in the US!

  • i wanna go on this soooo bad!!!

  • i saw the drop on rct3 but i didnt think a real coaster had it!

  • it's very intense

  • wow this is extreme

  • so amazin

  • eat a dick and GTFO youtube you pussy whipped bitch spammers go curl up and die go back to the insane asylum wher your sorry excusses for a lifeform belong

  • he should be able to post his own opinions. not everyone has to agree on the same thing. i think the ride looks great, but it should also be a bit longer, too. but once again, not everyone agrees on the same thing.

  • O_O OMG

  • bla bla not cool coaster

  • dude what if you lost ur grip on the camera?! :0

  • cool but very short

  • It's a concept coaster, they're always kinda short the very first time.

  • X2 Is better regardless who fuckin built maybe Arrow is fuckin better

gravity max looks fun but its not as good as X2 not even to be compared im just sayin slimmerkje ur a douche i didnt ask for ur remarks thank you

  • I agree with slimmerikje, they're two completely different rides, so its kinda silly to compare them to each other.

  • first part looks freaky but besides that it doesnt look too bad

  • X2 is better but still very badass!

  • Why, have you ridden this?

It's nonsense to compare this and X2,

X2 is a 4th dimension built by Arrow,

Gravity max is a Tilt coaster built by Vekoma.

  • grate video

  • WHOA!! SCARY ain't the WORD!! FIVE awesome stars (though you probably won't find ME on it! LOLOLOLOL)!!

  • damn the first part look kinda scary

  • eeeeew its so short and the fall aint that high. this ride sucks

  • will auch mit!!!

  • The video of GravityMax that you are registering is an important video of me where I have the copyright.

    You should promptly delete it.

I thank you in advance of your help.

  • no copyrights on this except by the park.....

  • I have a copyright in this video.

It is up-loaded without my permission.

    It is not correct.

I was disappointed as the same roller coaster mania.

  • If he shot the vid himself, then it's not copyright to you. The only possible copyright is w/ the park or Vekoma.

  • Do you understand the copyright?

My friend took a picture of this video.

His permission was obtained, and I edited it.

It is a work that has been opened to the public with my Web Site.

I have the copyright of this video.

  • haha, you are lying your ass off. shut the fuck up.

  • omg! it looks sick!

i would hate to be at the back u would get sooo high lool

  • That looks like the best Vekoma (or Arrow) drop ever! Probably even competes w/ MF!

  • vekoma Tilt coaster;)

  • It's a Vekoma Tilt Coaster.

  • omgosh! O.O i would die! espescially if i was in the front of the coaster :O

  • sucks if brakes on top fail

  • front seat's soft. really.

  • how did you make the title like that? when the gravity max thing moved. what did you use?

  • this place looks boring its out in the middle of nowhere. but the ride looks sick!

  • (\__/) ('_')

  • Who built this? Was it Arrow Dynamics? Togo? Vekoma?

  • It's a Vekoma Tilt Coaster

  • Thanks :)

  • ill be sckared
