I have been with the man who is now my husband off and on for 42 years. We split up for 18 years in the midst of the 42. When we got back together, and I heard this song on the radio for the first time in years with him sitting by my side, the memories from when we were teenagers and in our early 20's all came flooding back at me and brought tears to my eyes. It was a feeling of regaining something you thought you had lost forever.

Another grand slam by the one and only maestro, the incomparable BARRY WHITE. BARRY YOUR'E ONE OF THE BIG REASONS YOU HAVE DEEPENED MY LOVE AND PASSION FOR VIOLIN.  I am now practicing and taking violin and when done practicing, I play this song to try to play with the orchestra. Yes it sounds screechy and untenable but I will be able to play the right tune pitch and pace. Got to start somewhere-One Day at a time!

@b72s2JFK Keep playing. I, too have a love of hearing voilins in 'pop' songs. Just sooo pretty. I am a drummer --- but I do recognize that many songs have been 'enhanced' when violins were added.

And yes, at a point you will be playing at the at right pitch and pace. Even the most 'accomplished' professionals were 'beginners' at some point!!

This is an all string composition excluding the drums. Very full production to say the least. I am going to contact the Galveston ,TX. (birthplace) mayor to see if any memorial to Mr. White and his music has taken place,. If not, I am going to put a campaign in place to make that sure thathappens. I hope Hurricane IKE did not destroy his

Where did this come from? I had a friend who recently got suspended for repeatedly trying to post this. Glad it's back in the public venue. One of barry's "lost" classics! Sounds a little muted from when I remember it.

If it sounds muted, it's probably from a needledrop. CD's sound clearer on the high end (this was on "The Best of the Love Unlimited Orchestra" CD, from my recollection).

WOW!!! FINALLY this song has been downloaded to the site. I have to share this. When this song came out back in 1975 I had the radio on one morning during that time and fell off to sleep and dreamed Barry White was conducting his band doing this song. When I awoke I made sure within the next few days I bought this record. I still have it in my possession and it remains my all time favorite. Its amazing how songs sound so much better in your dreams. Thanks for posting.
