I love that Baron Von Raschke was the classic heel who the fans turned face and who never changed his persona. Think of Stone Cold Steve Austin and a few other guys since then..... The master of THE CLAW is a class act all the way, God Bless Him!

Great post--gave it five stars. Sheik Adnan Al Kaissie was absolutely brilliant, both in and out of the ring, at getting people to hate him with a vengeance. Combine that with the AWA's methodology of having their weekly TV show consist of nothing but stars vs. jobbers, and the AWA fan just HUNGERED for a match like this. The thing that always frustrated me was that the vintage AWA never ended a storyline...they just kept frustrating the fans. Case in point: this match's outcome.
