I completely cooked the bastard in like, a million Cloudkills and Deathfogs, combined with a bunch of Lower resistance (and other spell-protection-removing stuff)... He barely even saw me :)

The finest moment in my baldur's gate carreer was when I tried so hard to kill adalon, and then I was about to die and casted finger of death in desperation... and she just dropped. I was like, huh? then I loaded the game to right before I fought her and casted it again only to find out that finger of death doesn't initiate hostile mode when cast on friendlies... so you can sleep and cast it however many times you want until it kills them.

I remember when I faced the black dragon, I just had my main character cast finger of death.

One spell. The dragon died.

I always make my main character a mage, for not only is the mage the most powerful opponent one can face, but they are also incredibly usefull.

Such as defeating Irenicus on the Tree solo =D.

Well, I hope it is about mages again. The reason Baldur's Gate: Shadows of Amn was so successful was mainly because it had an infinite amount of possibilities of spells. Irenicus was a mage of immense power, and they need to use him again.

If only they could allow the player character the ability to use those spells lol.

that's what I was thinking, in Throne of Bhaal at the end you got a choice of whether to become a god or continue being a mortal, maybe the next game should allow you to follow either of these paths, that would be pretty awesome.

If you become the God of Murder..You fight in all of the hells and eventually kill a god.

If you fight as a mortal, you pursue the god anyways but not for competition, but for "righteousness".

Personally I'd become the God of Murder.

Use Mordenkainnen Sword to distract the dragon;

2 x Lower Resistance;

1 x Greater Malison (maybe Doom);

Finger of Death will do the trick.

Best thing to do to kill a dragon when your level is low and you are a beginner is to buy magigs''Huge elementals''sommon them around the dragon,then make 5 characters to hit the dragon too and 1 character hitting him with missiles(spells)

Usually, you may use the same tactic Dragon Slayer use in "other" dragon tales -> traps. If you hit one with the full set of 7 traps, you only have to take care about staying alive. The dragon gonna die for sure, promise.

One of the easiest ways to kill a dragon is combining "magic missiles" with "lower resistance" and defence piercing magics like ... "Breach" ( or better ) ;)

I think the easiest and fastest way to kill a dragon is to use regular traps, really. 7 traps really near the dragon and he'll go down most of the time. The problem with some dragons is that they attack you as soon as you're ar spitting distance, so place 7 traps where he can't see you, have a summon or a party member draw him to the traps, and you'll have scales in no time flat.

Remove magic or dispell will also do it although you have to be pretty high level to make it work unless you have Korgan, Staff of Magi, or Carsomyr.
