I believe in God, and his works are both expressed in science and Bible in a harmonious manner. Science supports the Bible, example is a passage from the Old Testament, I just can't remember what specific verb it was, saying that the Earth is NOT flat, opposing the old belief of a plain world, and it was further described to be hanging in nothingness.
If you would scour the Bible and understand some of its passages, it is supported by science and sometimes it goes against old beliefs of folly. The Bible is non but pure knowledge, both morally and scientifically.
I think I knew why catholic church at the state compromise why they did not teach darwinism in Primary (Elementary) school) special in the Philippines. Because Philippines is holding a relevant post in asia as dominant christian nation. The reason is "Darwinism" will only lead the people to atheistm and most worst to Communism. Lenin, Castro, Vladimir, Istalin they all admire Darwin theory. And they all lead to femine.
religion and science can be never reconcile. but science will prove the bible correct. darwinism is a theory thus not a science. there are discussion to remove darwinism in curriculum not because its against religion but its against science. even against genetics.
Christianity and science are not against each other and doesn't not speak different languages. God created science to prove the bible truth and factual.
This "Darwinism' you mention is but a relic of the 19th Century but Darwin's Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection is still going strong and has collected so much evidence that supports it that I could confidently say that EVOLUTION IS A FACT.
Also, I am what you would call as an atheist but I believe science&religion are fully compatible just as long as the religious aren't close-minded enough that they would prefer to believe in the literal interp of bronze age myths to thorough research.
True, religion and science are one. Religious passages are concealed in symbolism that would not be fully understood with literal interpretation. It's the first time I met an atheist like you, open-minded and not confined to antagonism against religion.
