But I believe fanwork can explore aspects that are only hinted at or not present at all in the original work.

Creating something new based on something already existing is a lot of fun. (The show itself reinvented the Arthurian legends, for example.)

Lastly, I don't believe homosexual couples and erotic themes are shameful or bad. :) Peace & hugs
