I've been meaning forever to get to a blood donation center since I am O- I believe, and not at all squeamish about blood or needles. Perhaps in the next few weeks I will get off my lazy arse and get it done.
That's the 2RBC procedure using the Alyx machine where it collects 2 units of RBC's and gives your plasma and IV fluids back to you. I operate those machines all day long at the blood bank I work at.
i think its a real good idea thatthey set up blood donations at schools in america (correct me if you aint in america) all we get here is immunisations....i also agree with the concept of having to opt out of being an organ doner rather than having to opt to be one. anyway well done for being brave

@neversaynever929 I've never noticed but I know sometimes I feel dry as a bone. I gave last Saturday and ended up drinking a quart and a half.

she is doing the blood plasma donation, it gives you IV fluid while drawing blood and plasma through the machine which takes a while ,
