I have visited the Hippodrome a few weeks ago and I had tears in my eyes in there. I cried when I saw the video showing how the place was. It's so sad

The people of derby and the east midlands wont let the Hippo be destroyed without a fight.Citizens,TV,radio,Newspapers,internet are talking about the desecration of this historic building.
All those involved must be prosecuted by the Council and English Heritage.... NOW !!

Sadly the Hippodrome is in a very sorry state. Renovation works to make the roof safe and stable have "apparently" caused the walls to collapse. Mass destruction if you ask me check out the video on You Tube

The owner can't really claim it was an accident when there was a huge digger with AB demolition written on it, was lucky they where stopped when they where but most of the original features inside are lost now.
