This had to be the last time Levi advertised thier bluejeans as workware. Too bad they dont make them as durable as in the old days. They realy used to be work clothes! Now just cheap made in China, or over priced fashon crap.
Like one cannot find the Elton John Sasson Jeans commercial featuring Sad Songs, on YouTube:
Some advertisers re-record the hit tunes they use in commercials, either with the original artists or sound-alikes; for example, in 1984, Sasson jeans had Elton John alter "Sad Songs (Say So Much)" to "Sasson Says So Much."
Yeah, there was a less often shown 2 minute ad, likely by this Robert Abel, that was like this, but dripping with the computer-photo enhanced graphics from beginning to end. Looked like they used TRON like enhancement methods throughout. This one isn't a bad 30 second spot sampler, of the longer one that used to air somewhere in three big LA television netoworks CBS, NBC, ABC, back then.
Damn, I remember a longer version of this commerical, with the working man sleddgehammer guy, that the whole commercial looked computer generated, with like 5 times the effects of this short half minute ad.
These really are the best jeans. Really!

No way! I saw this commercial back in 1981, I think. I always thought it sounded brutal. It´s a great ad. Thanx for posting!

Unfortunately, they're not made in America any longer...they've abandoned us and are "building China" now. BOO LEVI'S! : (

I wonder if the bald brother making sparks with the hammer is actor Tony Burton.
