  • I can see where this hobby (?) would get to be addictive while dealing with these critters.

  • i love your videos and do u have any lizards or any other reptiles?

  • @MrChucknorris98 No but my wife does

  • yeah you got some balls to do that id shit myself.

  • I was just enjoying watching some of your videos for the first time. (Never heard of you before). First, I would like to say they are terrifying! LOL I'm not afraid of snakes, but I think it's the venom that scares me. Not used to seeing people keep venomous snakes. My question is, is this just a hobby for you? Are you in the breeding business? What's your reason for keeping the venomous ones?

  • @garciajennifer223 It's a side business. I've always been a venomous specialist.

  • do u have a license

  • @epicsnakeman Are you stupid?

  • @epicsnakeman I actually don't need one currently but if the idiots out there don't stop screwing up there may be an all out ban.

  • Aren't Indos some of the hardest to convert over? Was that 3 pinkies a week? Are these now eating mice voluntarily and if so....what was your process? Scenting? I have a few coming and I'm curious as to your hatchling setup? Hot spot? Any help would be appreciated.

  • "Yeah, look at the camera, look at yourself!" I love the way you talk to your animals!

  • you have lots of patience with kings

  • have u ever got bit

  • Do you typically buy wild caught or buy captive bred? (breeding your own included in captive bred.) by the way i truly enjoy these videos. i love seeing all of the exotic and beautiful creatures you have.

  • How venomous are the "kids"?

  • @1339LARS Can kill an adult human I'm sure.

  • I feed my monitor lizard snakes once in a while, he's a hungry dude and enjoys a snake meal. They are not wild caught either, I just do it a few times a year to change up his meals.

  • Your videos are amazing! I've had to force feed a few of my stubborn kritters, none like yours though lol. Beautiful snakes :)

  • why don´t you feed them other snakes?

  • Beautiful animals!

  • Have you experimented with pinky pumps at all? I used to use them on my Grey Banded Kings and they worked like a charm. Although they have intermittent clogging issues they would save you tons of time and risk.

  • @6SpeedVert Yes, the one I like is no longer available.

  • I feel kinda stupid asking this because i know nothing about snakes but have been enjoying your clips and never miss one for about 5mths or so. So my question is....why do you have to force feed at all? What happens in the wild?

  • @heartdoggies They normally eat snakes and I don't like feeding them snakes.

  • are baby snakes ab;e to eat on their own ?

  • @TheNimerb Yes, however, They normally eat snakes and I don't like feeding them snakes.

  • Wow. Looks like the head has some catching up to do with the eyes in size. LOL!

  • You are braver than I am, I'll stick to the non-venomous, but can appreciate your knowledge and ability.

  • thats and example of what you dont have to do to maintain your king cobras and apreciate your life at the same time

  • @MaralizeLegawana Not true at all

  • Viperkeeper, how long did it take for you to feel comfortable picking up venomous snakes like this? Im not particularly scared of snakes, and in fact love watching the videos you post, but I cant imagine myself ever having steady enough nerves to do it.

  • awww....I love Kings. Such fantastic and impressive snakes. They look good.

How long do you normally have to forcefeed them before they take rodents on their own?

  • @amercnwmn It varies from snake to snake, some don't take long, others it seems like forever. I periodically test them by leaving some f/t pinks in the cage with them overnight. They are diurnal so if they don't eat while the lights are on they won't during the night. The 'Buzzard' took a year, all done by my friend Eric.

  • Hey Al, Great Footage & Quick question - I saw kristen at the Kentucky Reptile Zoo feeding their baby Kings inside a tube - It was form-fitted, where the snake would not be able to turn it's head from side to side, and it seemed to work really well, and sinced it's tubed, the risk of being bitten is much less of a risk than hand holding them while force feeding. Any thoughts on why you don't force feed this way?Is there more of a riskto harm the snake that way? Just curious. Cheers! ~Lee

  • @mykidsdad36 Kristen & I talk frequently and I know and seen her method. I don't have the time to play with them. I need to get'r done.

  • A towel with more grip is good, they're nice kings. Forcefeeding a clutch of snakes is a pain for time. Nice video.

  • Looks like a little musking action going on at 03:43.

  • Al, have you ever kept chinese banded kings before?

  • @BitisNajaLover Very rare

  • you must get paid alot of money for doing this

  • @1BostonFan94 No. I love working with snakes.

  • What happends if you get bite?

  • @magganmaggot I have antivenom on hand

  • @viperkeeper ok:)

  • Good job there with the kings! So nice to dine with royalty!! :)

  • such a beautiful mischievous gaze

  • do you have to force feed them because they want to eat other snakes instead and this is how you get a King on mice?

  • @WizzleThump Yes

  • Good vid Al, very informative.

For me a smooth surface works well so i dont use the towel under the snake.

i dont like the snake to get a grip on anything.

I can see how it relaxes the baby snake though and it does work well for you.

  • 5:34 lol what a cutie XD

  • why does the snakes head look.. glassy when you did a close up on it. is it just the skin on it?

  • do the mice come in folgers decaf?

  • @fart1fart1 LOL

  • Awesome stuff. How come you feed an individual so many pinkies?

  • @MrAntihumanism Pikies are 87% water

  • how many snakes do you have????

  • v always wondered this, if u ever got bit on camra would u show it on youtube?

  • @supitsgab Don't know

  • heh my parents drink foldgers too

  • You have balls my friend.

  • Are you in your barn?

  • @ctnpythons yes

  • Just love the way you talk to your snakes!

  • I can see where caring for your snakes must take many many hours a week.

Kudos to you for doing what you love and for being such a good viper keeper.

  • What do you mean "take you out"?

If the snake escapes and you can't catch him, how would you kill him?

  • @SKExotics Eats the food it and leaves the cage with it...

    I have a shotgun nearby.

  • @viperkeeper lol

  • @viperkeeper Do you take them out in order to prevent the spread of the species in the area you live in, or is it just to protect potential victims of a snake bite?

  • @heftymadmonkey Just to prevent possible snakebite, they would not survive the winter.

  • @SKExotics Abrupt lead poisoning.

  • Great vid Al as always, just wondering- whats the biggest king you have worked with?
