  • Well done. I am also a purple belt in Tracy system, and I am about half way done learning this Kata. :) The way my Sensei teaches it has some differences (as does all dojo's), but nevertheless, thanks for posting!

  • Keep it up, Man.

  • by the way i am a blackbelt... so u are only a purple belt? i've done this form probably alot more times... and i taught it alot more times... so i should know what i am talking about...

  • Never take you eyes off your attacker ! Huc , be , proud !

  • ur kata all most looks like huk planas kata... if u start with ur ging lai... u have to 3 short fingers in ur palm... to signal what kata on what side u r doing... but otherwise looks good for a huk planas kata... good job..

  • Thank you for the comments, in the Tracy system we don't do the finger indication for this Kata, it is the first Kata that we use the "Traditional" salutation though.

  • this does not look like a "huk" planas kata. Sorry, I'm just being real.

  • This is Tracy Kenpo. Huk Planas is Parker Kenpo and this does not look a thing like Huk, my friend. Sorry to say. I am not saying this fellow in the vid isn't any good. Just saying Huk does it much differently because he does it the Parker way--much different.

  • Not bad lordhumongos That's closer to the old school kenpo I remember.

    Gus

  • As a Kenpo student you need to think of 2 things when you do your Kata's. 1. Balance (Remember balance is also important when moving, bend you knees and keep your back straight) 2. Targeting (know what and where you are striking). From one Kenpo student to anther keep it up remember Targeting and Balance. (Student of Sam-Pai Kenpo Donie)

  • I also need to point out that I am a purple belt, the vid makes it look black.......

  • Good job for a purple belt, partner. Keep working hard.

  • how tall are these imaginary people you are defending against?

Hey Iboni, let us just see one of your videos?

    Nice job LordH...Regards, Carl

  • The Drama!

Try it with the camera at a 45 degree angle, sat, your 1:30. You are way too far from the camera in this vid. Also, use the Wide Lens feature.
