@sazji california... yes, there are black widows here, but these are not them, they are certainly orb weavers. ive only seen a red and black one once though. it had a big fat black body with a few little red spots, and its legs were bright red. it had an orb web, i borrowed a tiny piece from a corner it wasnt using to test its sound (you can pluck an orb weaver web if held tight, it sounds like a guitar string plucked on the headstock part where they are tighter)
