  • This is exactly what I find so freaking depressive about the mass media: They'll introduce a band like YES as if it was joke just because they know nothing about it and think they can make people watch their freaking channel, or newspaper, by playing along.

Please do some research and some serious thinking before treating others with such disdain because you know nothing about them.Thank you.

  • Just imagine these lovely women signposting the great YES! Future Times!

  • Great song from a great debut lp. Thanks for posting this.

  • God said

Chris Squire shall play bass guitar

    And it was good

  • Amazing, that they played a 5-minute song on a TV show!! Yes!

  • xD lol of course, Bill Bruford!..... The conservative, yet completely and totally awesome "full-of-myself" kind of guy. As you can see here, in the first shot of the song, he's wearing a t-shirt that says "No"... Figures, it's Bill Bloody Bruford the Badass... What will he do next, play cricket?

  • Great footage. I'm a big fan of early YES.

    Thanx for posting. !!

  • Great to see some footage of this song! One of their two best from the Peter Banks era ... the other being Astral Traveller.

  • Whatever happened to Peter Banks? He was sooo good!

  • He formed the band Flash in the early '70's.... Don't know after that;)

  • Go on, Pete, and play with yer wah wah!

  • weird camera angles filming the backs of the band instead of the usual front. weird french.

  • Weird? well i guess they were into Yes before the rest of the world and could see the future backwards...Viva la France! Seriously they are jammin here huh?

    ....americano diNiro? Fugetaboutit!))

  • why are there people with nazi helmets there?

  • It was probably the 1968 French national college resistance /modernities..perhaps informed by the Da Da reactionist theatre to create chaos. And Yes was there!

  • For safety

People were still scared of Hitler back then

  • great clip. Nice to see TK and Peter Banks in the early YES.

And yeah I saw Flash twice but not Yes.

  • Early incarnation of Queen, The Smile was heavily influenced by early Yes.

  • Great informed comment! I can hear some early Who melodic vis a vis Tommy as well.

  • This is fantastic, Early Yes is great, Thank you.

  • so cool, this is cool, defined

  • Really rare clip!

I watched Peter's play for the first time.

  • Me too.

Beyond And Before is one of the favorite number as well as Looking Arouund.

  • Very rare!! "Beyond and Before" played in 1969 with Banks and Kaye! That's my favourite Yes line-up!! I don't like Wakeman and White...

  • tight::

  • Check out Peter Banks cd,Can i play you something,It's great for all the early stuff.

  • Just goes how tight they played even in their earliest form.
