So this is March 31, 1986 where I thought it was April 1, 1986. I'm thinking that the last episode with the amplifiers was on June 13, 1986 if I get this correct.
okay, what i said isnt entirely true, but mostly true. they arent going to show pyramid on CBS so they could do Lets Make a Deal, BUT, they are pushing to make it a syndicate with another network
Actually, CBS is going to cancel As The World Turns in September, so CBS might bring the Pyramid back. Personally, I'd like to see them bring back Press Your Luck and maybe Match Game. As for Pyramid, CBS and Sony could team up to syndicate the show like they do Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.
@gameshowluvr86 i've got some fairly good news, my friend. the pilots for the $1,000,000 pyramid have been filmed. if all goes well, we will see the first show in September
its been going around for a few months now. CBS didnt buy the rights, but they did go with Let's Make a Deal. Pyramid is hoping ABC or NBC might pick it up.
He got screwed on 'Trespass." The judge ruled he had said 'pass' which was part of the word. What he said was "I'm goint to go PAST a boundary I'm not supposed to go PAST."
He was slated to produce a revival of "The Joker's Wild" a couple years ago as well, but for some reason they pulled the plug on putting it to a series.
Harry Friedman needs to be disgraced from game shows forever, just for ruining "Pyramid". Bob Stewart would never have allowed this if he was still running things. Even John Davidson's version, as bad as he was as host, stayed true to the original format.
I suspect we won't see Clark Pyramid on GSN anymore thanks to their acquisition of the Donny Osmond run, which premieres MOnday and airs twice a day(except for the Dick Clark challenge week from November 2002)
Actually as I type this GSN is showing the $100,000 Pyramid, although where I am doesn't have cable tv so I can't watch it but GSN is airing the $100K Pyramid as well as the $25,000 Pyramid.
