I'm not bashing the movie, because it is a good one. Horses indeed played a large part in the building of the U.S, and it was a harsh life--as this scene shows with Spirit being broken. Like Black Beauty, this movie makes one think about what is really going on inside animals' heads; how they feel, if what is justified in our minds is justified in theirs. I'm just a picky viewer when it comes to animation xD

They animate the humans to such a realistic degree and yet the horses, the main characters, are overly caricatured, considering the style of the film =/
