  • Hilarious comments - nice bus! We've lived in our bus for two years now in rain/snow/sun/heat with...3 KIDS. Whhhaat? People learn to fit into their own spaces. We spend more time outside than probably most Americans. Our bus cost us $1300 to buy and $3,000 to convert and drove us 9,000 miles last year. How do our kids survive, absolutely fantastic when they are surfing in Mexico and working on a farm in Wisconsin as well as hanging with friends in Oregon. So kiss our asses @thejomogogo!

  • awesome idea

  • This is beautiful! Aww... :D

  • @DJjazzywormjef It's written at the top, under the video on the right has side. It's "Les Champs-Élysées" by Joe Dassin.

  • Freedom is the life of a nomad....

  • so beautiful! Here in Brazil unfortunately the majority of births are ceariana.

video on natural childbirth most beautiful I've ever seen!

  • Wow, what a lovely home and a lovely baby girl!! I don't think you are cheap but on the contrary, you guys are rich in mind / views / living .... And this is a life I want to have too.

  • you were going way too frst

  • What a nice bus! My wife and I lived happily in a bus parked at a horse stable.

    Best wishes.

  • She's adorbale, your little girl! <3 :)

I find your home really inspiring, it looks really nice and not that small in my opinion. But i didnt get it why you would have to tkae cold showers when you seems to have electrictiy/gas or some sort of power. My boyfriend want to buy a sailingship and after seing this bus (which is about the same sice when it comes to livingspace) it suddenly doesnt feel as scary as before.

    Greetings from Sweden :)

  • hermoso

  • Blessings for you! We travel/live part time in our VW Westfalia with our little one. I live for the day we can be full time. A home just isn't a home unless you can take it with you when you go. : )

  • Great vid, I live on a narrowboat in england and the inside of the narrowboat is a similar size to a bus, with hopper windows as well.I keep thinking that I may convert a bus sometime in the future,a single decker though,I have this fear that if I get a double decker I may forget and go under a low bridge,

  • I just bought my bus 93 international bluebird service records and everything. It is being driven down to my place next Monday a trip of 114 miles. I'm converting that sucker and living in It and screw paying rent. Best of all my bus only cost $1000 cha ching.

  • Its part of the Obama plan. Everyone will be living in buses by time he's done.

  • Wow,I woul'd really like to have my own,but I live in Quebec City,Canada and it's getting really cold out here in winter time (average -20 C) so....I think i'm kind of cheap too,but appartment are so expensive these days! Tanks anyway! Pat

  • i guess if you can afford gas to go accross town its all good. i know i couldnt afford the gas to live like that, and yes, i've tried

  • You have the right idea about living and touring in a bus.

I am in the process of converting a B58 Volvo(which would appear to be your choice as well).I commend you for being ahead of the game.I should have done this 20 years ago..

Cute baby, and what an wonderful early experience that child is enjoying.

Good on ya for doing what most people just dream about !.

    Greetings fron Childers...

  • cool beans, we lived in a remodeled crown school bus, and we thought that we did a good job. Your's is really sweet. Keep on keepin' on.

  • ahh,a baby....

  • Nice I want one!!!!!!

  • i'm going to buy a double Decker bus and do the same thing =P

  • @BellsAnThings A double Decker Huh....That will be a rolling Condo, don't forget to post video of your project...

  • that baby was cute. lol

  • Thanks for sharing this. Your daughter is beautiful, the bus is awesome. Good for you.

  • Made some grammatical mistakes ;-)

    Smoking too much :-)

    But you got the point...

The world third country is the place where to live in these days..

    Fuck rich spoil society..

  • Yeap, but YOU CANNOT do that in US..

You are in Australia, right?? And still little easy.. BUT unfortunately even there

things are different in the last few years.. If you don't park in an RV parking (where you pay) or in some rest areas along the street (only 24 hour stay), the Ranger are coming at 6 AM knocking your window and forcing you to leave. I was there for 3 months and I lived in a tiny, tiny van. How do I know? I was there and ranger suck..

  • @Mytriptoaustralia Thousands of people including me do this in the US. I've been living in a bus and travelling since I got out of school(about fifteen years). It can be a hassle depending on where you are. There are tricks to make it easier and stay away from trouble. You can stay on BLM land for weeks at a time.I'm about to wander from California to N Carolina this spring.

  • @subc Ha, you think that bench is cool? We've been trying to get rid of it for years! You're welcome to it!

  • Love it! I'm so fed up with "normal" life. I often dream of selling everything and driving off into the woods somewhere. If you don't mind me asking, how did you acquire the bus? Was it very expensive?

  • @JayKay62969 Do it! Sell your stuff and do it! It's so freeing!

We bought the bus already converted and it cost us $30,000 AU

  • @Gregariouspeach Now, that's living! This is one of the nicest buses out there! Does it have that Detroit Diesel engine?

  • @Gregariouspeach i love your video, your daughter is adorable and you made me smile...Thank you, God bless!!! we are also looking into this lifestyle. but we are a family of four with two teenagers! :)

  • I hope you find a real home by the time your baby girl gets old enough to become aware of her surroundings and have friends that will snicker at her situation.

I don't think what you're doing is cool at all.

  • @TheJomogogo Oh no, don't worry - we don't plan on letting our daughter MAKE any friends, so your point is moot! The upside of this whole situation is that we have no neighbours and our daughter will be relying solely on us to tell her what is 'cool' or not. Thanks for you input on how to raise her though! Poor dear, I bet she wishes YOU were her parent ;)

  • @Gregariouspeach

I hope you are joking . What you are suggesting sounds sick.

  • @Gregariouspeach lol, how dare you raise your child the way you see fit! naughty girl *tut* *tut*. We lived in a converted kombi van when we were teenagers, with our baby. Almost 15 years later we are in a house, with our happy marriage and our happy children, and still remember with fondness, the freedom of driving up and down the coast with our little bub, making life-long memories. Now maybe we should both just go back into our boxes and start behaving like 'normal' people!

  • My friend. If You have your Wife & Your little baby, you have everything!!!

  • funny comments and that's the cutest baby I've seen i na while.

  • This is hilarious (your comments I mean). But this really breaks things down to the basics. You live a stress free and simple life. Is that a bar sink? And the bathroom is in the middle with the bedroom in the back. How are you going to set up a bed room for the little one? She will eventually need her own space dont you think? She's a doll by the way. Absolutely adorable.

  • @Kimosaki1 Sorry about this super slow reply. I am not on Youtube often. Yes, 'eventually' our daughter will probably want her own bed but that's not for some years yet. Though by today's standards bus living is exceptionally small - it's not unusual for families to live in confined spaces such as this all over the world. As it is, it's working and we're happy with that.

  • I love the idea.

  • Two Thumbs Up from TheOldDude!

  • that baby is absolutely precious!

  • Lovely! I dream of building my own really small mobile home one day :)

  • You have no idea how badly I want to do this. I`m only 14 and at one time my dream was to live in Boston, but now that I`m into this, I can`t keap my mind off of it. Nobody thinks I can do it but I know I can and will. I just have to wait forever.

  • your bus is tight!!! very nice job u guys!!

  • thats sounds like a pretty cool life!

  • Omg your baby is sooo cute! LOL

  • I'm curious,

what do you guys do for a living? ;P

  • Nice bus! I too live in a bus with my wife. I have had my kitchen window looking over, lakes, oceans, burningman, friends homes and parks. Pretty cool.

  • Never wanted kids till we saw the cute happy and apparently ... VERY...content baby :0) Love the washroom in the bus and the whole package. The wife and I are going :Fortress Yurt" hooked to a 10" 2 "Northern Lite Truck Camper with solar panels.

That should freek out the man :0)

  • i love the style in which you did this video, it gives it an amazing feel too it, the slide show effect, and as far as living in a bus, to me it doesnt matter where you are or where you lay your head at night as long as your fulfilled and happy :)

  • OH MY GOD THAT BABY IS ADORABLE!

  • cute baby xD

  • Excellent Post!!!

I envy your diesel gypsy palace!!

    You could call it..

    El Rancho Notta-Costa-Lotta

    Cheers!!

  • Love the music! and any time you can survive with only a set of wheels and a spirit of adventure... what more could you ask for :o)

  • You know, you could plop a DIY solar water heater on top for those hot showers in the summer...

  • @JamesStickel we have one of them on our HOUSE tis very good, but im trying to do this for a double decked leyland olympian :D

  • thanks for the idee my dad wants to use the system to :))))))

  • Love love love ure video :) can i ask what camera you used ?

  • Just love your bus. It would be nice to see this movie in slow motion. Super cute baby.

  • Cheap and nice!

    Cool living style!!!

  • You have inspired me to check into it a bit further, But what I'd like to know is. Are there any permits I would need to have in order to hook up the bus to pluming, electrical ?

  • love the bus idea, saves money (off grid living) rocks

  • hey, you have an awesome bus! i have a video of a bus i used to live on also, if your interested you should check it out. i find it awesome there are others who also choose to live the life style of bus living! keep it up!

  • I like so much Your way of living.......I think You can feel much more free that in a city!

    Good Luck!

  • I love your video and would love to live this way, my mam always said there was a bit to much of the irish in me to keep still.

Love the video and your daughter is precious, hope you all containue to have a great like in your bus.

  • Hi there!!! My husband is thinking about living in a bus when he retires (10 years or so)... today we got to see some of the new models and we are totally in love. He is a biker, he loves to travel.. It would be awesome to be able to park your " home" anywhere possible. do u like it?

  • I love your home!! And cutest baby award, definitely!!

  • is it just parked on a plot of land? or a parking lot?

  • It's parked on 5 acres. We have it jacked up with cement pads underneath so it doesn't sink into the grass.

  • my only concern is making money to live off of....how do you do this? or do you just save and travel some months?

  • We presently are not travelling in the bus. It is parked in one spot and this allows my husband to have a regular job. Our friends who lived in a bus with their kids for many years were musicians and played gigs wherever they stopped. We are not musically talented so when we do travel, we may have to do seasonal picking or something!

  • cute baby me and my wife would kill each other if we lived in such a small bus with our daughter but its a lot like our first place before we had kids a 300 sq. foot apartment in the city

  • It is certainly a test of a relationship to live in such a small space but thankfully we do not kill each other! Our baby is very easy going, so it makes for a happy family.

  • that is beautiful. Five stars!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you!

  • the only thing i would be concerned about are:

    *bathroom

    *kitchen

    *water

    *and gas

other than that it would awesome to live in one of those

  • When we looked at converting a bus ourselves these were the things that I was concerned about too. Thankfully the bus was bought converted already and as you can see in the video, all these things are there and functioning fine. The bathroom water runs from tanks which we fill every 3-4 days with rain water. The toilet is a standard caraven toilet that requires the emptying of a canister every 3-4 days also (thankfully my beloved husband does this for us!).

  • that is perfect for college students or couples

  • You probably wouldn't be able to stand in the back of this bus. In the bedroom, the roof is really quite low and unless you are quite short like my husband and I, you would struggle. I am 5"4 and her is 5"6... so we are good.

The property is owned by my parents. The bus does move, but my husband is still getting his MR license so we have not driven it much. It is in full road condition though and has been taken for a few drives before.

  • I want to live in your bus!

  • Haha, well, I think we might be bordering on too many people if anyone else moves in!

  • Nice home...

  • thanks!

  • Hey gregariouspeach. nice video, please PM me, i sent you a message about your bus, as im thinking of doing the same thing :)

  • Sadly the Kangaroos were hiding when this was filmed :(

  • where are the kangaroos?
