  • We all know how Cheatriots play. Can't win without playing dirty.

  • @RavensECONOMICbeast Wide left!

  • Check out Pats #25, #55, and #50 at 0:05-0:06. Says it all.

  • cheap!? he just playing hard for his team bitch that was safeties do you go across the middle you et yo ass clocked

  • Another dumbass Tarantula dread head. These newcomers to the game don't have the brute to wrap up in a tackle like we did. Pussies.

  • even his teammates knew he didn't have to hit heap like that. i'm all for bone crushing hits but not this one. he was under heap then launch himself with the helmet.

  • Why didn't he just play the ball and get a pick??? Guys fucking bad anyway lol

  • I love how three NE players throw his hand in air after the hit :p

  • dont jump for a ball next time.

  • HEADSHOT

  • BOOM ! HEADSHOTTT YAAAA

  • The best way to prevent skull/spine injuries in the NFL: remove all the helmets. Do you really think these guys would barrel into each headfirst at full without a helmet. It might seem counter-intuitive improving helmet technology is getting more players injured.

  • @POINT137 One of the dumbest suggestions I've ever heard. Hey why don't skydivers start jumping without parachutes too! Moron.

  • Thr NFL is a joke

  • yeah I like how two patriots immediately realized it was a cheap hit. Belichick got rid of that asshole anyway

  • haha i like how they all shrug like aww man at 0:06

  • Get owned.

  • Not really a cheap shot. He was all ready on the the tackle. But that was helmet to helmet.

  • he is a mf thug on and off the field good move on the pats part to get rid of him.

  • DING!

  • Give brandon meriweather a gun...he would no doubt be much more satisfied shooting people on the field

  • I'm so glad NE got rid of this thug. This is probably the dirtiest hit and the worst part is that if he had watched the ball instead of trying to kill Todd Heap he could have had the interception. True definition of Cheap Shot.

  • If it was Steelers you faggots would be like "Its how they play" BULLSH#! Fuck yall.

  • THE PARTY STARTER!

  • Granted, the No Fun League is making this a game of pussies, by overprotecting recievers and Qb's on, but anybody with half a brain could see that was a weak move on Meriweather's part.

  • Its Football I was taught defenses should show no mercy

  • @rustyjoe5 you don't go straight at a players head you fuck. you be a man and hit him with your shoulder pads and body. unlike this stupid nigger

  • @georgelopez451 IM a nigger 2 and all I saw was good OLD FASHIONED football not this pussy dont hit him too high shit I play defense to punish not tap

  • @rustyjoe5 how the fuck is that good old fashioned football? putting a guy in a fucking wheelchair for the rest of his life isn't "good old fashioned football" damn if i was on the field with you i'd put your ass in a wheelchair

  • @georgelopez451 You obviously havent watched any Football games from before our time and I doubt you would put my ass in a wheelchair lol keyboard gangsters my primary sport is boxing anyway

  • @georgelopez451 Since when have any niggers ever followed any type of rules. When they still feel like they can blame white people for any time that they fuck up in life they pretty much do whatever they want.

  • @6PcMcSuckits true that my man

  • Why the Black people w/ dreds always the one to hit someone dirty I think its just funny to see there dreds fly when they run

  • Leave it to the scumbag Gaytriots

  • What a dick

  • this was the play he was fined on, right?

  • Rodney Harrison was not a dirty player, i cant believe people are bringing a retired player into this discustion. the vid is about Meriweather not Harrison.

  • Its not soccer you douche!

  • Brandon Meriweather will be great in Chicago. Chicago is known to have a hard-hitting and aggressive defense. Glad he's a Bear now! GO BEARS

  • @MegaBig54 If by 'hard-hitting and aggresive' you mean 'cheap shotting pussies' then yes, he will do well with the bears

  • Even his teammates are going like "Why'd you do that you fuck."

  • So much dirtier than Harrison

  • @doggieGZ Meriweather plays dirty because he sucks and can't tackle. Harrison played dirty, but he was also a good player.

  • @brian15243 I don't think Harrison plays dirty. Just because you hit hard on ballcarriers doesn't make you dirty. Spearing someone even after they've missed a catch is dirty. Leading out with your shoulders on a ball carrier coming across the middle isn't dirty, it's just hard tackling.

  • @doggieGZ Disagree.

  • @DrewInWashington Harrison's hitting people while they're carrying the ball. And on the hit on Massaquoi he's leading with his shoulder.

Here, Heap doesn't even have the ball in his hands, and Meriweather stop and clearly launches himself headfirst into Heap.

  • @doggieGZ And here's the deal - after that hit the Ravens played scared the rest of the game.

  • @STP43FAN1 if i got hit like that, i'd be scared too.

  • I've seen harder hits in Pee Wee football. 50 G's for that??? Wow. Harrison's right. Goodell really is a pussy.

  • @steelcash wtf are you talking about? That's like a concussion right there.

  • @noobsoldier2006

Apparantly you have some braindamage since you cant understand that boxing and football are two different sports.

  • he put the H.I.T. on on the HEEEAAAAP

  • LOOKIN FOR THE BADDEST BITCH IN THE CLUB TONIGHT

  • Don't matter what the haters say. Brandons got that vip on swole

  • Todd Heap's head on SWOOOOOOOLLLLLLEEEEEE

  • what a retarded throw by flacco. loser QB.

  • Even his teammates were thinking, "WTF Meriweather..."

  • He should've got flagged on that one

  • That was a cheap shot and I freakin hate the damn pats.

  • Brandon "Torpedo" Meriweather doing what he does best.

  • He was falling and meriweather put his head down and jumped. Not a cheap shot at all and those who say it is are just jealous of the talent we have on the Patriots

  • @Ckguyforya you never watched football before. shut up

  • @Ckguyforya All that talent and no rings since Spygate.

    umadfaggot?

  • @Ckguyforya lol you're funny..not a cheap shot? he jumped upwards, intentionally putting his helmet under his chin...you can be a pats fan and still admit this is one of the worst cheap shots ever..

  • He actually had to put extra effort into making that cheap shot. In my opinion the most flagrant hit that i've ever seen.

  • Cheap shot artist. Hm, guess that's the ol' cheatin' Patriot Way.

  • lol cheap shot my ass!!! Brandon "torpedo" Meriweather !!!

  • This football not soccer

  • MERIWETHER!!!! THAT'S HOW FOOTBALL SHOULD BE PLAYED!!!! TRUE PASSION AND INTENSITY!!!!!

  • Meriwether, beast, university of miami player who gets caught up in the game, shows true emotion and desire for the game of football.

  • @superedmonkey98 true emotion... lol? trying to hurt somebody is not true emotion.,.

  • @NoobSoldier2006 thats why boxers usually have severe brain damage later in life and that is what they are trying to prevent in the NFL

  • Why is that on every video of a helmet to helmet hit, there's some idiot that's like "lol thats legal, thats how football is supposed to be played, wut r u retards talking about?"

  • A good hit. If you ban this in the NFL, might as well ban the sport of boxing. It's a straight headshot. All the boxers didn't complain, so why is football players? And please don't give me this "in football, a player runs fast with helmet at each other...etc.." In boxing, the velocity of a hand is just as fast if not faster than a moving body. Football players takes a couple of shot per game. Boxers take many shot per 3 minutes round.

  • Pause it at :05 and three of his teammates have thrown their hands in the air and are looking at him, saying, "Really dude? You're just gonna give them 15 yards? Come on, man."

  • Thanks, dumbass for singlehandedly getting the NFL to adopt the helmet to helmet rule. now good players like Julius Peppers are getting fined for relatively good hits. (Hit on Aaron Rodgers in NFC Championship game).

  • What the hell was that? Come on, I'm a huge Pats fan, but that's retarded! Defenseless victim, no meaning in the play, and a DELIBERATE attempt to hurt someone. Wasn't even a big hit. Go back and watch Ronnie Lott and Dick Butkus. They most definitely slammed people, sometimes not legally, but they never fucking HEADBUTTED a guy. Makes me sick. Get this asshat off of our team. How the hell is he in the Pro Bowl? Pat Chung will be better once he gets more playing experience...

  • I'm a huge Pats fan but that's just stupid. Plus, 3rd and long, what the fuck ?

  • this guy was born when his mom was a 13yr old prostitute and lived on his own

  • Meriweather could be a great player if he can mature. too often does he go for the big play instead of making a sound tackle, or swatting the ball down. his angles are also terrible at times. since i like merriweather and DO think that new england fans are a bit hard on him, i think he can make improvements and turn into a really good player.

  • I agree with Joe Paterno. Put everyone back in single-bar helmets. Watch these cheapass hits go away. There's no amount of padding to prevent concussions. Not unless they come up with some kind of helmet that can stop physics from happening. So you have to work fear and consequences into the defenders again. If it cost Meriweather a tooth everytime he laid a sucker-punch hit like this, end of story.

  • Was that his mouth piece that flew out, or a tooth?

  • haha this is awesome. I love todd heap hes a good guy. But i could care less about meriweather playing tough. Id rather have this then nothing

  • anyone remember the hit ryan clark made on willis mcgahee? that was way worse. everyone loves to hate on meriweather though because he plays for the patriots.

  • 0:05 priceless look at the looks on pats #50 and #55. even his teammates are like 'come on man!'

  • @captainphoenix seriously, the fact that even his teammates went "wtf" shows that there was some dirtiness involved in that play.

  • The NFL is trying to make the games safe, because a lot kids watch the NFL. Fuc k that, when I was nine years old, I wanted to see hard hits and people get knocked out. Players in the 1970's and 1980's, used to fuckin hit hard all the time. Motherfuckers like Dick Butkus tried to tear a player's head off. Roger Godell has never put on a jockstrap in his whole life, so he has no idea, what football is about.

    TheDOLMET 1 sec ago

  • @blk663 20 bucks says that if you had a brain you wouldn't have made that comment. The flags were already out before it was apparent that Heap was injured on the play. The flags came out as soon as Heap hit the ground. Please try to not be so ignorant.

  • 20 bucks says that if heap wasnt hurt and lying on the ground that wouldnt have been a penalty

  • Start fining these clown 3 weeks pay. They will start tackling, the way the coach taught them in little league. No wants to see any player, from any team paralyzed.

Fuck that......FANS are sick and tired of seeing these cheapshots.

  • Ha, even after the hit his teammates are like, what the fuck did you do that for?

  • people that try to justify this hit as legal are just plain stupid... the ball was gone and he CLEARLY went for a headbutt straight for heaps head.. why do you think The coach even sat him.. and hes a got caught for cheating himself haha

  • Real simple. LEAD WITH YOUR HANDS helmet to helmet is no longer an issue!

  • Too bad the media or the commision isnt on this as tough as they are on Robinson. This was BS. IMO, the Robinson and Jackson collision was hard, violently clean hit. Wasnt malicious at all, poor Heap's hit was. Merriweather should be wearing a suit in the skybox for several games for that one.

  • look at the other pats players right after he makes the hit, even they're actions are like "damn man, that was uncalled for".. its such a big issue in the league at the moment.. i love big hits too but i dnt want to see my favorite players injured..

Desean Jackson is out, Reggie Bush is out.. if u injure all the exciting players ur not gonna get fans to games

  • Did anybody else notice that heap had his back to merriweather? Or that heap turned in the air and fell down onto that hit? Calling that blatant is foolish. I doubt most people sitting in their arm chair talking about how blatant that hit is realize how quickly that actually happened. The speed of professional football does not leave room for deciding how to hit. If Heape had caught that ball and merriweather had pulled his hit and given up yardage he would get benched!

  • @hav2bclimbin

Did you notice how he led with his helmet?

  • @unfazeable1 Would you rather he led with his feet and dropkicked him? If he wasn't leaning forward he would get knocked backwards and potentially give up additional yardage. When you lean forward and run your head is the first thing to get where you're going. The hit was illegal and a penalty is deserved, I don't think you can argue that it was a hit that resulted in helmet to helmet contact. That being said to FINE him for playing aggressive defense is what blows my mind.

  • @hav2bclimbin

I'm sure leading with his feet would've been better, or how about tackling like a YFL player, with their shoulders. Its been taught since YFL to tackle with your shoulders. If you look at other videos on the hit, you see Meriweather looking up at Heap and intentionally going for the headshot. At least he apologized for the hit, not sure if he meant it or Bill made him apologize but either way an apology was issued. Unlike Harrison, who needs to get suspended for his comments...

  • Can't really get mad at a guy trying to break up a pass.

  • What kind of TV do yu have ? it's amazing

  • what a dick

  • This dude is a complete idiot.

  • As a fan of the U, I'm dissapointed. That hit was completely uneeded. I think they need to do a simple rule change. Allow coaches to challenge these hits. Many times h2h never get called so allowing the coaches to challenge non-calls will hopefully also lower this likelhood of this. Many hits that are hard are clean as they go with the shoulder and try to make a tackle, unlike this hit. He was going for a Haymaker.

  • Why even do that?

  • He didn't even try to tackle him, he just headbutted him. He's a thug in pads, he stomped on FIU players in a brawl when he was with Miami. He has to learn how to tackle right.

  • fuck new england

  • This was a really bad hit and so was the one on the touchdown. I'm just glad that Todd Heap came out of this game with a healthy head, neck, and spine.

  • Tom Brady wears a dress. Ngata hit him clean and he cried and smacked the ground crying like a bitch

  • 4th biggest hit of the weekend...no one will remember this, robinson's hit was so much more dangerous/blatant/egregious

  • I've been a Pats fan for longer than I can remember and I have to say this was def. an intentional helmet to helmet hit. I fault Merriweather for it but at least he was man enough to apologize after the fact. Thats more than anyone else has done in recent weeks.

  • I thought this was the worst hit of the day...he should be suspended

  • i really don't think it was on purpose... if u notice he positions himself for a hit then u'll see number 51 take out Heaps legs which puts him in position for a helmet to helmet collision

  • @dustinrushton he jumped up to make the helmet on helmet hit.

  • he was a student to Rodney Harrison, what do you expect.

  • @minix775516 dude, go fuck yourself.

  • @minix775516 hes also an ass

  • Everyone is over reacting to these hits lately, this is the national football league, where world class athletes play football. They signed up for this and know what they got themselves into. While this may have been the worst hit this weekend, it may not have been intentional, i thinked it looks worse than he intended it to. Defensive players' jobs are to hurt people, they dont want to injure them, but its their job to lay out the ball carrier. ITS FOOTBALL......

  • @7GREMAUX

"Defensive players' jobs are to hurt people, they dont want to injure them,"

Ummm that's the same thing isn't it? Their job isn't to hurt people. It's to stop the offense from reaching the endzone. No one in the world can make a case for helmet leading tackles compared to wrapping up, the way it's supposed to be done. It's just common physics.

  • @AlbertoG006 No, hurting them as in making them feel pain, not get get injured as in breaking a neck. There job IS to hurt people. Just about everyone you watch play football on TV has been playing the sport since about 3rd grade, they know what they are doing.

  • @7GREMAUX Their job isn't to hurt other players at all, it's to stop the offense from scoring. There are reasons there's helmet contact rules and why it's been outlawed. If you can't play to the rules then leave the game to the real sportsmen.

  • @7GREMAUX Their job isn't to hurt other players at all, it's to stop the offense from scoring. There are reasons there's helmet contact rules and why it's been outlawed. If you can't play to the rules then leave the game to the real sportsmen.

  • Hitting someone in football with the intention of purposely injuring them is just stupid. This is a sport, not mma. Anyone who knows football knows defense is about making a stop, not trying to show what a badass you are. Doesn't take much to change from a spear to a shoulder-led tackle. Some of these idiots in the league just want to have people think of them as bad-ass. Instead we see them as just stupid.

  • It actually could have bee worse. He didn't hit him square. Could have been a whole lot worse.

  • That was a disgusting hit. Totally obvious.

  • What A BEAST!!!

  • 50,000.00 BITCH

  • I am about as bloodthirsty a fan as there is - and a Pats fan - and what can you say? Even if Brandon wasn't thinking, "Let me knock his head off" and was thinking more along the line of "let me just get in there and make play" ... it was still ridiculous. This isn't the 80's anymore.

  • You can also see that his own teammates know that the hit was uncalled for and that he was taking a cheap shop. When your own teammates won't defend you for what you do on the field, you have serious problems.

  • It's football. You risk spending the rest of your life in a diaper & wheelchair for the multi million dollar pay off. Stop all the BS. The bottom line, Americans feed off blood, the muscle robots get paid to entertain us savages. A few fall by the wasteside & we forget about them, scrape em up & replace them with the next idiot who couldn't make any valuable contribution to society with their brain, so they went the football route. I got muscles, no brain... It's football. scrape em up, NEXT.

  • @rajimaji

football is physical, it is brutal and unforgiving. but that hit was clearly intended to be head to head. This game is about combining intelligence and skill with that unforgiving brutality. But more and more players are getting into the league with only the skill and brutality but no brains. The big hits are great, if they are clean. There is no reason for a player to go strictly for the head. All they do by that is to further increase rules that ruin the game.

  • @rajimaji

Get off your high horse my friend...we can all tell you don't know football since your going with the "all football players are stupid" when it is actually one of the more technically complex sports imo...look at a playbook and get back to me.

Addressing the issue...it was a bad decision but these things happen quickly...it will be tough for the NFL to consistenly draw the line on this...The Dunta Robinson hit was far more violent but it looked pretty legal to me

  • @rajimaji

You are a retard. They don't get paid all that money because of risking their lives you idiot. They get paid millions because they are a handful of guys who among the most elite athletes in the world at American Football. You obviously never played the sport or have no idea how intelligent some football players are. Football is one of the most complex sports from an execution standpoint. Do you have any idea how to read a playbook? I didn't think so.

  • I too am a Pats fan. Merriweather is an idiot.

  • I too am a Pats fan. Merriweather is an idiot.

  • why in the hell would u do that? the ball is long gone and Heap is in a defenseless position? thats disrespectful. he's not out to hurt people, he's out to injure. his ass should have been tossed

  • cheap shot alright - and maybe it is time to introduce suspensions instead of fines, but they were playing a team whose players pride themselves on trying to dismember the opposition by any means, legal or otherwise. I think in really bruising, close games like this where two really good tough teams are tearing chunks out of each other there will inevitable be dangerous tackles like these.

NFL might show their commitment to long player safety by declaring there will be no 18 game seasons.

  • @ecm394 The shot was cheap as hell I'm not arguing it. It just wasn't as hard. That was all that I was pointing out. Meriweather should be fined and probably suspended. Harrison just hit the shit out of Mo and there should have been a flag for helmet-to-helmet. No fine, no suspension. The rule is helmet-to-helmet, unnecessary roughness. Meriweather is just retarded for doing that.

  • CLEAN! hahahaahahahahahah go Meriweather...youre my boy

  • never mind the roids comment, saw the name and thought of someone else...=P

  • Eh, wasn't as bad as Harrison's hit to Mo. Just as cheap, but not as hard. Harrison would think that is weak sauce when it comes to headhunting.

  • @sheaffs This hit was a direct head shot by a dude on roids, they don't get any cheaper......Heap was actually a defenseless receiver whereas Mo took 3 steps and couldn't get ready for the hit cause he was bobbling the ball and still trying to catch it. In fact, Mo only got hit in the head because he lowered his head...

  • IM ALL FOR HARD HITS.. BUT CLEAN ONES NOT DIRTY CHEAP SHOTS LIKE THIS.. FUCK HIM HES A PUSSY YOU COULD HEAR IT IN HIS SOFT ASS VOICE.

  • That was clean...I wish

  • What an assclown. I'm a huge pats fan but this kid just does not get it. Remember he's the one that stomped on the chest of a player who was on the ground when he was at Miami and playing Florida International? Always had issues and still hasn't learned a thing from his mistakes.

  • @nmaloney your the assclown. that was almost 5 years ago. with the exception of a head to head hit what has he done wrong in the NFL?

  • @nmaloney

Neither has the NFL who employs him,,,

  • He better be suspended.

  • i'm sorry but that was kind of funny

  • Meriweather could see the ball was uncatchable and clearly lead with his helmet, his hands were down at his numbers. And he was leading with his helmet on other plays too, this was just one he got caught.

  • 0:05 Chung, Spikes, Ninkevich all threw their hands up in frustration. They even knew it was bad. I'm a Pats fan BTW.

  • should have hit em harder

  • that was not intentional, he prolly had his eyes closed and for as big as todd heap is he should have been affected by it. But, what do i know I played on the pitchers side of the ball, not the catcher of the big hits.

  • ps fuck goodell i want tags back, might as well make it two hand touch out there

  • PITTSBURGH -- Steelers linebacker James Harrison states his objective matter-of-factly: He's out to hurt any opposing player who roams into his vicinity.

  • "As a defensive player, you have to think about how you hit somebody now, which is totally ridiculous to me," Bell said. "You're trying to get a guy down. Sometimes you get caught leading with your helmet. When you're going to tackle a guy full speed, you can't really think, 'Oh, I have to hit this guy a certain way.' You have to get him down as best you can. Sometimes it's helmet to helmet, which guys aren't trying to do, but that's just the way it is. It's part of the game."

  • Yep, that's a cheap hit.

  • This rule is idiotic. He was trying to separate Heap from the ball. He didn't know Heap did not have it. Football is a rough game and there's nothing cheap or dirty about this hit. The NFL is on the verge of making defense illegal. Oh, and a word about "safety"- how many players were being killed or paralyzed before this rule was in effect? Not many. Horrible injuries happen ALL the time in football w/ perfectly clean hits. You can't refine football and the Rules Committee should stop trying.

  • @rollotwomassey You're an idiot. He did know he didn't have the ball Merriweather is a F^^$ Jack ass

  • @mduross1110 He had already committed to the hit by the time the ball passed him- the play wasn't over. If I were Heap I'd be pissed at Flacco for laying him out between a corner and a safety with NO HOPE of actually making the catch. Ronnie Lott or Rodney Harrison couldn't even play in this NFL anymore.

  • @rollotwomassey

thank you want to talk about saftey might as well find a way to give plays rubber knees and leg cuz acl and broken legs claimmed way more careers then hits like that c'mon sons

  • fucking fag hit from a faggot

  • fuck all yall that was a good hit merriweather hit like mayweather im tire of all the softness in the league now goodell is making the league real soft, im old school and so is brandon and im glad that didnt stop him cause he went on to lay a couple more ravens out they cant be mad cause we was juss playing how they hit soft asses

  • @thagod5

your an idiot. he's making it safer for players. obviously you are more concerned with big hits (dirty hits) then a players livelihood. and stop with the "im old school" crap. your not old school, cause if you were old school you would know that just as big of hits can be made be legally and within the rules. that was a garbage bush league hit by Meriweather in which he target Heap's head with his helmet. he deserves to be suspended and im a Pats fan
