Somebody please tell me how I can get this version of the movie? PLEEEEASSSEEE, I hate begging. But, hey, from one zombie fan to another, I'm sure somone can sympathize.
You can get three different versions of this movie in the Dawn of the Dead Ultimate Edition. The European cut has this music paying in it in some parts. You can get the European version seperate but I've heard that seperate version is not in that great of quality. It only looks good out of the ultimate edition.
I remember watching the Argento-cut of Dawn of the Dead.
In the end where Peter shoots a zombie after wanting to kill himself THIS awesome theme kicks in! And I was like: Wow! By faaar better than Romeros lame "super-hero" music.
It was a shame that Romero didn't take all the music by Goblin... Thank God Argento did! :)
@Robozgraggi OMG 2 SEC4S B4 THIS COMMENT YOU HAVE JUST MADE MY LIFE EAISIER 5 YEARS I WAS TRYING TO FIND THE REAL NAME OF THIS VERSION OF DOTD I SHALL SUB
@Robozgraggi which version is which? Mine is in an arrow film boxset with night of... and day of..., and I know that there is an uncut/director's cut version too which includes more gore, like in the child-zombie scene. I can not actually remember hearing this in my film, but it has been quite a long time since I last saw it.
@Robozgraggi Argento's cut features the complete goblin sountrack and is also a shorter, faster and more action packed version. And YES, it does feature the child zombie scene.
This is one example of the italian version being better than the original, unlike other occasions (like Martin, or Wampyr in Italy, which was WAY worse than the original american version)
Massive fan of Dawn of the Dead here, but never heard this track until today I watched the Italian cut for the first time. Watching this cut of the film was like seeing it for the first time. When the raiders arrive at the mall, to this song... it's soooo badass. Also love how it plays from the moment Peter decides not to kill himself right through the credits. No ambivalent ending anymore, seeing them fly off into the dawn with this upbeat song blaring, you just know they'll make it! :D
it kick my ass so much that i want to behead zombies NOW ; D

@SROCeallaigh
There are 3 original versions of the movie:
Romero cut (aka U.S. theatrical cut)
Extended cut
Argento cut (aka euro cut)
Romero and extended cut were made by George A. Romero with some music of Goblin and a lot of their own score.
Argento cut has only the Goblin soundtrack (where also this tune can be heard)
You probably have one of the two Romero cuts.

xD (!!!) Why man?? How come?
Btw, i'm not critizing your idea -which is somehow cool :P- it's just that i'd have never thought of that...
And, i don't even know what was actually the theme music of that world cup... :P
