It was a racist time, and a lot of us us white kids were not allowed to listen to that "race" music, so groups like the Spaniels cropped up. Not that it stopped us from listening to that "race" music. It was all good, and for the possible exception of Pat Boone, got us where we are today.
Not trying 2 be Racial or anything but, Y did all the white groups do this 2 all the Black Artist in those days, They take a good song And Butcher it. Where is their since of Creativity, Ok & I know this is a cover 2, But if u ever seen Cadillac records U would understand where I'am coming from.
I sang this song to my kids every night until they were teenagers, now my daughter sings it to my grandchildren, and when they stay at Nana's house, I get to sing it again. It is ageless! Love It!
