@elwichode1980 Hi. Thanks for watching and for your question. Idiomatic expressions are part of all languages and people commonly use them a lot. Students need to learn them so that they can understand native speakers. There is no obligation to use them, just an advantage to understanding them. By all means call a spade a spade, but if you know what side your bread's buttered, you'll go out of your way to learn as many idioms as you can or you could find yourself up the stream without a paddle.
@Linguaspectrum Thanks a million for this explanation ! I caught your drift and could it explain in plain english (German is my mothertongue), but I would not able to explain it better in German !!!
in the first of the video I was going bananas because I couldn't remember any one but when you defined them more it became okey dokey.I didn't understand much when I saw the video for the first time but I had another bite of the cherry and saw it again and I understood it completely.
thanx for this wonderful vedio which is one of my apples of my eyes :)
Lolz, That was interesting, if only there was an idiom for each fruit, that would be very interesting Pomegranates, Pineapples, Mangoes and all lol. Thanks for the vid. :)
you video is would have been good if you hadn't shamelessly shown the naked pictures of Adam & Eve (Peace be upon them). Shame on you that you don't respect the first man & woman on the earth. Adam (PBUH) was one of the mightiest messenger of God.
As I sat here watching your video, "vegetating", I started thinking of other fruit vegetable idioms. I couldn't think of any, and that was the "pits". But by the time the video finished, we were like "two peas in a pod" as friends. You are as "cool as a cucumber" making these videos. You really did have me "scratching my melon" trying to think of more. It was a "tough nut to crack" but I thought of a few.
@HailDarkLord Thanks for your interest in the video. I started off with the intention of making one video about food idioms, but it soon became apparent that there were far too many, so I broke them down into categories. I haven't done the vegetable idioms yet, but it's coming soon. The next one is meat idioms.
my teacher just showed us this in school today... we all laughed at ur video.. its so funny and fun :))
