It is disrespectful in many ways to many things and people including God. We are to interact with the world but only to convert them and show them the way to heaven. The bible states that a friend of the world is an enemy to God. This church reached out to a worldly performer and allowed him to entertain Christians with his worldly music. Therefore this church is an enemy to God.
@Jerzey55 We humans tend to take things to extremes. On one hand, some Christians trying to distance themselves from the world so much that they fail to reach anyone. On the other hand, some Christians get too involved in the world for their own good and end up falling into the same predicament the world is in. If Christians are to be really effective in executing God's work, a balance must be found.
This is the main problem with the church. They think they've got to go into the world in order to reach the world. Jesus was our example....follow it if you want to do it successfully.

It is ok to extend invitations for all people to come out, but the Bible calls us as Christians to be separate from the world, so that we can minister to it. If we are doing the exact same thing, then there is no light shining from Christ in us. That doesn't mean we don't love: we just take God's Word for what it is.

Being of the world means to have a worldly mentality. The word "of" usually means in reference to, belonging to or one who represents. The son of God did not represent, belong to or lived a life that was in reference to the way the world thinks, so you are dead wrong in your logic (John 15:19;17:13-16). When you speak, know for sure that what you say is truth because there are consequences.

I think that if he was saved christian, i dont think he would be doing world music. You listen to his music, there's not one song that we've heard that glorifies God.

This is sickening. Now I will be honest and say, as I rapper, I like T.I.'s work. But at the same time, I don't listen to any of it. It is disrespectful in many ways to many things and people including God. Now aside from whether or not I or you listen to him, he does NOT belong on a church stage, much less preaching and sharing his testimony. He is deep in sin and an awful example..I mean seriously! We are to interact with the world but only to convert them and show them the way to heaven. The bible states that a friend of the world is an enemy to God. This church reached out to a worldly performer and allowed him to entertain Christians with his worldly music. Therefore this church is an enemy to God.

On the other hand, some Christians get too involved in the world for their own good and end up falling into the same predicament the world is in. If Christians are to be really effective in executing God's work, a balance must be found.

TI brought his whole family and stayed the entire service. He spoke to someone who may not have walked into the church, and he got a message he probably hasn't heard in a long time. We don't know what the Lord revealed to Bishop Long, but he reached out to TI, showing him Christian Love, like Jesus showed Zacchaeus. He planted a seed and his ultimate goal is to win a celebrity to Christ, a real transformation so that they can in turn use their stardom to tell the world about Jesus.

At the end of the day God is still keeping him and fighting for his life, and we don't know WHO or WHAT TI prays about or if he is even saved. This is one debate that I do not want to take part in, but I will say this.... I HAVE to say this. Sometimes God allows things to take place...things that we don't feel are very GODLY, so that end the end he will get the Glory. I have no idea why T.I. was at the church, that is beyond my understanding, but if your were not there then you do not know what God did in that place AFTER the video stopped. Someone who doesn't normally go to church just might have come and got saved.

The bible means not to judge according to your own logic, but it truly does give us the authority to make judgements (John 7: 24). Sinful people, or shall I say, sin filled people, love to hide behind the "do not judge" scripture only because of their own sin & ones who don't want to be corrected or reproved. She didn't hump the man, but this is a clear example of what cannot be done in the church. It is ok to extend invitations for all people to come out, but the Bible calls us as Christians to be separate from the world, so that we can minister to it. If we are doing the exact same thing, then there is no light shining from Christ in us. That doesn't mean we don't love: we just take God's Word for what it is.

Jesus was in the world, but not of the world (John 15:19;17:13-16). The problem with the church is that it is married to the world. We are not converting unbelievers; they are converting us. There must be a standard, and a difference between people of the cross and people of the world. Furthermore, if people can be bold in their sin and disrespect God, why can't we be bold with the truth? The church wants to coddle sin, but people will never turn to Christ if we never say why they need him.

The son of God did not represent, belong to or lived a life that was in reference to the way the world thinks, so you are dead wrong in your logic (John 15:19;17:13-16). First of all, what did you find positive about that video? 2nd of all, what was the positiveness about bringing TI to a religious function? Third of all, I don't got to any of these babylonian churches that you have been taught to attend and 4th of all, do your research. His name is Yahushua, NOT JESUS!!! No one needs to attend a church like Eddie Long's to know if its evil. What fellowship does light have with darkness? How can two walk together less they agree? Eddie Long somehow agrees with TI and shares in his darkness to actually think that TI is fit to minister to God's people. Any fool with any amount of sense would know that.

People need to read "Will the Real Heretics Please Stand Up?" It is really convicting and gives an accurate comparison between today's church and the 1st century one. It is amazing how far the church has come for the worse since those days.
