not that i think they're bad or anything, in fact i've loved akeldama for over a year now and i think it's one of the best releases i've heard in a long time, but there's no doubt the drums have been protool'd quite a bunch. having seen batdorf, pierce & lolol LORD marco play live, the 270bpm 16th note kick sections just aren't that credible.

good to see reno pulls off just about anything though.

that's all a matter of personal preference, as to if the person sets their triggers to be really sensitive, then yes you don't have to hit as hard to set off the trigger, but some drummers don't set their triggers to be really sensitive, like myself, and no it doesn't make you sound any faster, because you're still hitting the bass drum to produce the voice no matter how hard or soft you hit the bass drum.

Do yo have down syndrome, you don't know what your talking about, I own a DM5 and a Roland trigger and that is in no way what it does.

It amplifies your bassdrum and helps you get the bassdrum sound you want.

It's harder to play clean with triggers because every flam and tap can be heard, which can fuck you up alot when you are recording tracks.
