James Payne, an evangelist, wrote the song and I think was the first to record it. I'll bet it's been done by a lot of others also. It's a great song.

I talked to Leon in Spartanburg yesterday. I was sure glad to see an old friend and also find out that he was back to performing.

He did a couple songs with Ronnie McDowell's band and sounded great.

We talked about old times when I used to play music in Augusta, GA, Many times he would sit-in with my band before he got his RCA deal.
