They both have such curious double axel take offs - both really avoid hiking up on the pick and almost sort of lope into them, especially him, he barely looks like he hits the toe pick. What it does allow I guess is the speed to do the triple toe on the end, which I don't think any other pair team has ever done. Crazy that she managed it after her Turin fall. Beautiful quad too

Yes..I believe they were the first ot land it in competition, but Tiffany Vise and Derek Trent were the first pair to land the Quad Salchow in INTERNATIONAL competition...which is pretty awesome!

In my opnion, Zhang's Quadruple is way cleaner than Vise's. In addition, I bet they had a hard time overcoming that mental obstacle of falling and Zhang being hurt at the Olympics a few years back.

I think their double axel triple toe combo is even more impressive. I don't believe a pair has ever done a triple toe combo, with a triple jump on the later half of a combo. Crazy. And the quad was perfect. Her Olympic one she opened up too soon, there was nothing going wrong with it she just mistimed her checkout.

Zhang Hao has amazing strength, but I think he is the one who goes out of sync during the pair spins. Zhang Dan seems to show no fear, and compliments Zhang Hao well. If they both worked on their fundamentals, whilst retaining their power and acrobatics, the Russians couldn't touch 'em.

in my opinion, i think that the new system is like communism: its a good idea, but it will never improve the sport of figure skating like the old system.

new system helping prevent contraversy is not true to me b/c i heard from an interview from jeff buttle in some sports show that even in the new system, he sees some judges tap on foot together or something to signal other judges to downgrade some skater or something.... if u want to know bout it, just look up jeff buttle interview in here.

All you see are the jumps and nothing else. Your not a true fan of figure skating or know as much as you think you do.

6.0 system was the old system the new system or CoP (code of point) scores each element individually e.g a triple flip is awarded 5.5 points and so on. Theres half time bonus for jumps, grade of execution, deductions for falls etc. The skater with the highest points wins. This system is much fairer in my opinion and helps prevent controversy which was all to common in the old system.
