@poshnile I've read a lot of books about him and most say he was very bright and very good politically. He was just very easy going by most kings standards. He certainly did a lot better job as king than his dad and his brother!

@poshnile Christian Coulson actually played his illiegitimate son, the Duke of Monmouth- and he must have been a bit thick, because not long after his father had died he tried to lead a rebellion against James II and was executed. Charles, on the other hand, seems to have mostly pretended to be a rich idiot because it was beneficial in the long run (people letting things slip in front of him etc), and was actually quite a clever guy.

@DaniMajor Yes, I think he was. He was always my favourite king, even before HH. He was very soft hearted (especially towards women) and hated any kind of arguments. He wasn't one for revenge, even the people who killed his father were let off lightly because as he said "I must confess that I am weary of all the hanging". I think because he spent his youth in exhile and spent a lot of time with ordinary people he had a different perspective on life than other kings, before and after him.

I read an article about a band called Special Benny, which mostly gigs around London. Mat is a guitarist with SB. Two members of the band (not Mat) are either married to each other or engaged and the wife/fiance was pregnant. She must have had the baby recently and Mat had a chance to hold their child in a photo. The only member of the HH team that I know for certain is married is Larry Rickard.
