Although I respect the reality of working in a kitchen, the experience, skill and effort required, viewers should not forget that this is still a TV show meant to provide entertainment, many of the things you'll see has been scripted, edited and spliced purely for said entertainment.
There is sometimes a fine line between being able to do something and not being able to do it. I had a job that I was very good at, but sometimes I went home totally spent because it took everything I had to do it well. Would I care to go back to it in 10 years time to prove " I still had it " ? HELL NO ! ! !
This real kitchen puts the shit they do in Hell's Kitchen to shame. Bigger menu, narrower kitchen, looks like more tables. They should take those contestants and cram them in a space that small too.
@Paco - it's good to know how to work each station, sometimes cooks have to fill in for others. But typically each cook has a one station they consider their specialty.
i have a bachelor's degree in graphic design, but i want to start a career in the culinary world as a prep cook…any advice?

The cooks must be quite patient to put up with his BS, even for 2 shifts.

@enishicz28 Oh, you thought that was serious? I'm pretty sure that Tony respects Carlos too much to just be an ass like that. It was an act.

This episode should be required watching for anyone who wants to work as a professional cook.

Do the line cooks rotate stations once a month or so to keep trained on the different techniques?
