Sry for double post but I am 100 % sure that a friend of mine has the Eu Directors Cut and as we were bored we started to play it and watched the intro. And guess what, we laughed our asses off, it was the exact same intro as shown in this video, uncut and all.
fucking love this! man it takes me back......and i like how wesker looks the same, chris seems to have become more grounded & less cocky in his maturing years! lol
I would of still liked to see how everyone else got in to the mansion. Like Kenneth, Richard, Enrico and Forrest. But, yeah... The acting was horrible, which made it entertaining. XD
Which version of RE is the uncut intro from? I have both of the Director's Cuts (single and dual disc ones) and it's the cut intro :( Is this from the original long-box version?
This is from Resident Evil 1 for PS1. When Capcom re-released RE1 for PS1 and called Directors Cut, this intro was supposed to be on the CD, but due to an error with the authoring of the CD, they accidentally put the censored intro back on the CD. This video came from Capcom's old Resident Evil webpage where they posted the uncut video as a download as part of an apology.
Oh I see thanks! I remember something about the mishap way back when. So the uncut version of the intro is not available on any versions of the disc that were released? I had no idea it was only available through the RE site only, I was under the impression that the intro was available on one of the PS1 releases :(
That really bites. It's an absolutely PERFECT introduction to the game, such a shame that it was never released on a physical gaming medium. By the way, Jill's actress is smokin' hot! I wonder what she's up to nowadays :) I really miss the earlier Resident Evil's... Part 5 doesn't even feel like part of the series to me. Cheers!
@Smurgen I think the DS version had the censored intro because the handheld was owned by more kids than adults. Plus, Nintendo of America may be against characters smoking cigarrettes, as I think they feel this would set a bad example, even if the scene is for an M-rated game.
My favorite thing about this: Chris smoking a cigarette is cut from the original. We can't teach the kids to smoke cigarettes, but blowing someone's arm off with a handgun? Go ahead.

The movie was cheap and the actors weren't good but the editing and sound mix were PERFECT!! I LOVE THESES FAST CAMERA EDITINGS WHERE EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING SOOO FAST AND YOU CAN HARDLY SEE THE MONSTER!!! COOOL STORYLINE!!

As far as I know, there is no US made game that has this intro. Even the DS version forgot to use it.
