@newAgentPROVOCATEUR Oil that is drilled here in the U.S. gets put on the world market to the highest bidder, just like all oil drilled anywhere does. It DOES NOT stay here in this country. The misinformation that's given is sad. Right wing  Politicians want their followers to believe it stays here , while getting big campaign donations from oil lobbyists.

I have nothing against the "stars" speaking out, hell, we put them there after all. Too bad we have to live thru their acting and role playing to such an extent they epitomize the very thing we hate about our own perfunctory existence.

Why don't we have "clean" energy? Carter laid it out 40 years ago. We didn't got that route, cause we let our leaders take us into the world of Hummer dependency. We bought the idea we could have more, pay less and live forever....didn't work out so well did it?

He is right. Instead of throwing the output of new fossil fuel reserves - like the tarsands - into the atmosphere we should try to develop sources of renewable energy. And we need to do it fast.

Obama will change his mind after the election. If he gets in again the world will finally and totally see the deep sleep of Americans. Redford has lots of money so no worries for him. Pipeline will create jobs for the most desparate.
