Hey Everybody! I have just released my new album 'Unhinged' which is greatly inspired by great bands such as Ulver. You can stream or download the full album for free on my youtube channel!
This song is so hauntingly beautiful. No matter what mood i'm in, i relate. If i'm sad, it balances out with the atmosphere and makes things more bearable. If i'm angry, it calms me down with thoughts of better times. If i'm happy it makes me happier. It's so beautiful..
@WarriorOfTheOldWays1 Agreed. Just about the most depressing thing I have ever witnessed. Haunted by the documentary...some things don't turn out the way anyone ever expects them to. I don't think it was necessarily depressing at the time - what the metal artists were going through...it was certainly presented that way and the accompanying music certainly added to the darkness.
Am I the only person who heard this in Geoff Rowley's part in Really Sorry? Haha, I love skateboarding and this song really caught my attention. Been trying to track down who did it for a while now. Incredible song.
obviously not seen my picture...black magic? sorry,i'm a nocturnal hunter. the magic of it is, i can make people disappear, with no dna trace evidence. the only 'black' thing about it is l'm going to do it again.
reminds me of neurosis,'stones from the sky'. i was wondering...i'm 52 years old. been there, done that. am i such an outcast, or do the others throw on the blindfolds, and head for the cliffs of dover? and NO, i'm not O.K.
Listen to this for few hours non stop, and then take a walk......memories,of what once was,and now is not comes back......the world looks so...grey......it's beautiful.....
I've literally just finished watching Until The Light Takes Us, and I loved hearing this song now and again throughout the whole film. Very very beautiful song.
The song of a dying world.. The song that shows the sadness of all the Universe with it's silence... No words can show the dark passion in this masterpiece...
Hey Everybody! I have just released my new electronic album “Sub-Zero” which is heavily influenced by the music of Ulver. If you're interested you can listen to the full album on my youtube channel, as well as download the album for free!
what a masterpiece, what an incredible piece of art,i cant describe the feeling i get from listening to this... but if you`re a fan of this you probably know it
i like the song but i think it's good they are not mainstream, not becuse of the beliefs, ridiculous style or anything like this, but becuse generaly people who likes this have just a big hole in their heads that they stuffed with their broken toys during their chidhoods; they got no brains but something to play with while broken and kind of useless... evolution takes it's course but in this particular pice of evolution help is needed
@Rulo8Mann Hah. Well. You make it sound like this is suicide backround song. Personally this song wakes feelings of hope and strength in me. Dunno what you hear, thats the enigma of music. If you hear only "but becuse generaly people who likes this have just a big hole in their heads that they stuffed with their broken toys during their chidhoods" maybe, just maybe, youre the one who is broken?

Hey everybody - I just released my solo album "Mirror Image" that contains ambient music (and upbeat electronic songs) heavily inspired by Kristoffer Rygg and the music of Ulver. If you're interested you can check out the songs on my youtube page, and links to my myspace page and places to download the full album are on my youtube channel as well :) .
Its kinda cool that these guys used to be Black Metal. But then again i think this is much more black than any black metal song I've ever heard. This is what anxiety and depression sounds like. There is beauty in sorrow.
i listened that song into the movie "until the light takes us" just wonderfull...the only "bad" for me is that ulver they were trully norwegian black metallers and they changed their music so fast...i dont want to say that their newer songs are bad...but they dont have anything common with their old!
I heard this song at Wacken Open Air 2010, when he appeared in "Until the light takes us". Now it remembers me sitting there by night, watching the movie with many other people. A great feeling. A great song.

The first time i heard this song i felt instant peace. i can't see this being liked by the masses since it just aint good for the normal person not everyone can appreciate things like this to the full. Truly amazing this song is.
Yeah, this song is truly beautiful. A shame it only har 160 views, as it beats any american pop song with a couple of million views. Well, I guess people are just generally stupid.
everyone has these frustrations. Just look at it like this: This is a treasure that only a small percentage of people will ever hear, and you are one of them. Its their loss. I wouldn't want this mainstream anyway, they dont deserve it.
@joecrow24 I doubt any of this shit would every reach the lime light. Name one mainstream black metal band now. This is so creepy yet I cant stop listening to it . Wrote another research paper with this as inspiration .
I think that's a little short sighted if you ask me. This vid wouldn't have like a million views because of the title. You shouldn't expect it to. Think about it!
Ulver - Not saved... How many people are going to just accidentally happen upon this video? I mean really, how often do you think people are going to even come across this clip with a title like that? Now look at the "likes" vs "dislikes" So far it's 112 to 0. See a trend there do we?
@Ender1337otron I'm just saying, more people should recognize Ulver for what it is, including this song. Of course we see a trend, those who find it usually like it.

There are some pieces in music which transcend music, becoming conduits of feelings, which entirely conjure up feelings. This track is one of those.
