Ok it's called CCHR: Citizens Commission on Human Rights. The man is simply parroting what he has been taught in Scientology. If he thinks that Scientology works for him, I am happy for him and he has that right. But please look at the other side. Many people have been abused in this organization, and they have a right to be heard too.
@chrispollock Well the "facts" Scientologists cite about Psychiatry are pretty dated: Electro-shocks and lobotomy, no one does that anymore (at least not in Western Europe ...).
@theseushobbes you are right about that. though psychiatry still pretends that is this absolute science when really, their diagnoses change from generation to generation, and therefore, are social, not biological. for example, in the 1950s, housewives who disliked being at home were diagnosed with a mental illness, whereas today, women working outside the home is considered normal. i'd say the only valid diagnoses they have are outright schizophrenia.
@chrispollock I'm not an unconditional fan of psychiatry either, but a change of diagnoses doesn't really show that psychiatry is not a science, that their theories are not based on the facts but merely on social trends. Change of diagnosis can also be an effect of scientific progress. Geologists used to teach the world was flat (a long time ago), they don't teach that nowadays; that doesn't prove that geology is simply a matter of taste or fashion, it's rather a sign of progress.
@theseushobbes you are right in general about science changing to adapt to new facts. the difference is that psychiatry deals with perceptions of human behavior and linking them to absolute scientific facts. then when perceptions of human behavior change, in other words, the moral notions of behavior change, suddenly so called "scientific" facts change to adapt to new social conditions, psychiatrists from the 50s saw the same thing todays psychiatirsts see, but with two different social lenses
The levels he speaks of cost an upwards of thousands of dollars to reach. The group then judges if you are ready to go the next level. If they deem that you're not, you'll have to take the course again from the start, paying all the dues AGAIN.
They are a money-scamming cult and anyone involved with them are in serious danger.
Oh dear ... always still horrifying to hear that brainwashed "bla bla the Nazi psychs bla bla". What this cult does to people is criminal. Brainwashing should be punished within the law.
Jenscool... Okay actors are not normal... I get that... I don't know what to say... this guy is happy... and I can't say anything bad about anyone who was that open and honest with me on camera...
AnonFTLD if this man truly thought he was being racist he wouldn't have said that..
I have been around white people who said things like " I love your regardless of you being black" I had a black friend and he was just as smart as I" .. I didn't feel threatend by him but I was thinking he is so wanted to get the word out that being PC didn't matter.
I thought he was rather bold but it proves that he stands by what he said... and that he was comfortable with me. So I can't be mad at his honesty
It's not racism, it is an example of what the attackers of Scientology are displaying. Ignorant hatred, words with no value. Only an imbecile would think it was racist.
Almighty kinghippo14... I feel for this guy also... but by the end of the interview... This man is grown... and happy with his choice and this works for him at this point in his life...
Wait, wait wait... What was that about prejuidices?? Am I the only one who didn't understand a word of that and don't see the two can possibly be connected????
Ugggh, why do I always feel like I'm getting stupider after watching/listenting to interviews with Scientologists who are still in?!?! Please someone tell me I'm not alone.
ladybutgann6... it does get intense when you just want to spread the word... I don't know how to answere sometimes I know that this man is pleased with the interview and I am sure enjoys reading the comments...

or are you telling me something about Sicientology that you pay that Church and they make you sign a contract for the rest of your life ... and now they control you and make you do anything...
Guess it's all there. Psychs made Hitler. Some people are too far gone to help, "we don't have time for that". The aggressive nature of the religion. Critics are crazy. The guy is just a normal guy whose nature has been usurped by Co$. Whatever your stance on this glozell1 you did a damn good job of getting him to open up. You handled him perfectly.

That he failed his first semester of his nuclear physics class? That his military career was a joke?
I knew that if I was prepared with somekind of "what about this and that" he wouldn't say anything...
I do feel that all that I know about Scientology seems... limited but I haven't gone through these levels and whatever he was talking about..
I was comming from a Christian point of view so I didn't know what to ask and I just figured he would talk and I would understand latter I don't think I will get this chance agin...
Thanks LindiVid,don't let this person's thoughts get to you

Its sad how this man doesn't make ANY logically coherent points, yet he believe that his MONEY is somehow doing him good.
